The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, execution, monitoring, testing, commissioning, and handover of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and associated MEP works. The role requires strong UAE experience in MEP contracting , with the ability to independently manage project teams, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, client coordination, technical deliverables, commercial requirements, project schedules, quality, safety, and overall project performance. Candidates who are currently available in the UAE and can join immediately will be given preference. Key Responsibilities - Take overall responsibility for the successful execution and delivery of assigned MEP projects. - Manage all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV, and associated MEP activities from mobilization through commissioning and final handover. - Review contract documents, IFC drawings, specifications, BOQ, project scope, and client requirements. - Develop project execution strategies, resource plans, procurement schedules, and MEP work programmes. - Coordinate with planning teams to establish and monitor project schedules, milestones, and critical activities. - Lead and coordinate MEP Engineers, QA/QC Engineers, Draftsmen, Supervisors, Foremen, subcontractors, and site teams. - Monitor site productivity, manpower deployment, material availability, and overall project progress. - Ensure all MEP works are executed in accordance with approved shop drawings, specifications, method statements, authority requirements, and applicable standards. - Coordinate closely with Architectural, Structural, Civil, and other project disciplines to resolve clashes and interface issues. - Review and approve shop drawings, coordination drawings, builders' work drawings, and as-built drawings before submission. - Manage technical submittals, material submittals, method statements, RFIs, inspections, and consultant comments. - Coordinate with consultants, clients, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and authorities for approvals and project requirements. - Lead regular progress, technical, coordination, and commercial meetings. - Monitor project risks, delays, constraints, and technical issues and implement corrective actions. - Ensure materials are procured, approved, and delivered in accordance with the project programme. - Coordinate with Procurement and Commercial teams for material procurement, subcontract packages, and technical evaluations. - Monitor project costs, material consumption, subcontractor performance, and resource utilization. - Support variation identification, change management, claims, and additional work assessments. - Review project quantities, work progress, and subcontractor payment applications where required. - Ensure compliance with QA/QC requirements and close NCRs, inspection comments, punch lists, and outstanding works. - Ensure all site activities comply with HSE policies, project safety requirements, and statutory regulations. - Monitor testing and commissioning activities for all MEP systems. - Ensure proper preparation and submission of commissioning reports, O&M manuals, warranties, as-built drawings, and handover documentation. - Manage snagging, de-snagging, authority inspections, client inspections, and final project close-out. - Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports. - Report project status, risks, delays, commercial concerns, and key decisions to senior management. - Ensure project completion within approved time, budget, quality, and contractual requirements. - Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders and ensure timely resolution of project issues. - Mentor and provide leadership to the MEP project team. Qualification & Experience - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline . - Minimum 10–15 years of relevant MEP construction experience . - Minimum 5–8 years of UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred. - Proven experience working with MEP contractors or general contractors in senior project-management roles. - Demonstrated experience managing complete MEP packages on major construction projects. - Strong experience in commercial, industrial, infrastructure, warehouse, residential, or large-scale building projects. - Strong knowledge of UAE construction practices, consultant requirements, authority approvals, and project execution processes. - Proven experience managing multidisciplinary project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers. Technical Knowledge Candidates should have strong working knowledge of: - HVAC and chilled water systems - Plumbing and drainage systems - Fire Fighting systems - LV electrical distribution systems - Lighting and small power systems - Fire alarm and ELV systems - MEP coordination and builders' work requirements - Shop drawings and coordination drawings - Material and technical submittals - RFIs and technical clarifications - Method statements and ITPs - QA/QC procedures and inspections - Project planning and progress monitoring - Procurement and material control - Testing and commissioning - Snagging and project close-out - As-built drawings and O&M documentation - Variations, claims, and change management Software Skills - Strong working knowledge of MS Office , particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. - Good understanding of AutoCAD and MEP drawings. - Familiarity with Primavera P6 or MS Project is highly preferred. - Familiarity with Revit MEP / BIM / Navisworks will be an advantage. - Experience with project management and document control systems will be an advantage. Preferred Candidate - Currently available in the UAE. - Immediate joining is strongly preferred. - Strong UAE MEP contracting experience. - Previous experience managing complete MEP packages independently. - Strong experience dealing with consultants, clients, main contractors, subcontractors, and authorities. - Candidates with previous experience on Abu Dhabi projects will be preferred. - Candidates with a strong track record of successfully completing and handing over major MEP projects will have an advantage.
