# MEP DPARTMENT HEAD **Mid Point General Contractting** · Abu Dhabi · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 7 дней назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Head of MEP Department Core Responsibilities - Strategic Leadership: Oversee the entire MEP function from pre-construction design through execution, handover, and facility maintenance. - Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary focal point between clients, consultants, main contractors, sub-contractors, and local regulatory authorities. - Design & Technical Review: Validate MEP designs, shop drawings, technical submittals, and material specs to ensure compliance with international and local codes and standards. - Coordination & Clash Resolution: Lead multi-disciplinary 3D BIM/Revit coordination to eliminate clashes between architectural, structural, and MEP works before site installation. - Cost & Schedule Control: Monitor project budgets, resource allocation, cost optimization, cash flow, and master construction schedules. - Quality & Safety Compliance: Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and oversee testing, commissioning, and handover documentation. - Sustainability & Retrofits: Drive energy-efficiency initiatives, smart building integration, and sustainability targets. QUALIFICATIONS: - Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Building Services Engineering. - Experience: Typically 15 to 20+ years of progressive experience in construction, real estate, or infrastructure projects, with substantial senior leadership time. Regional GCC/UAE experience and familiarity with local authority approvals (e.g., municipalities, utility providers) are usually required. - Technical Skills: - Deep knowledge of HVAC, electrical power/lighting, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and Low Voltage (ELV) systems. - Proficiency in tools like AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, and project management software (e.g., Primavera P6).
