Position Summary The Membership Consultant is responsible for attracting new members, converting enquiries into memberships, maintaining excellent customer relationships, and ensuring every prospective member has an exceptional experience from their first interaction with the gym. This role combines sales, customer service, administration, and community building. Key ResponsibilitiesMembership Sales Respond promptly to all enquiries from walk-ins, phone calls, WhatsApp, email, and social media. Conduct gym tours and explain our facilities, services, and membership options. Understand each prospect’s fitness goals and recommend suitable memberships or services. Convert leads into memberships through professional and consultative sales. Achieve individual and team membership sales targets. Follow up consistently with prospects until a decision is made. Customer Service Welcome members and guests with a friendly and professional attitude. Build positive relationships with members and create a welcoming environment. Handle membership enquiries, renewals, upgrades, freezes, and cancellations. Resolve member concerns promptly or escalate when necessary. Ensure every member receives exceptional service. Lead Management Maintain accurate records in the CRM system. Track enquiries, appointments, and follow-up activities. Contact inactive or expired members for re-engagement. Generate referrals from satisfied members. Maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective members. Administrative Duties Process memberships, payments, and contracts accurately. Prepare daily sales reports. Maintain member records and documentation. Ensure front desk operations run smoothly. Assist with appointment scheduling. Marketing & Community Engagement Assist with gym events and promotional campaigns. Encourage members to participate in community activities. Support referral programmes and member appreciation initiatives. Assist with content creation by collecting testimonials and success stories where appropriate. Facility Presentation Keep the reception area clean, organised, and presentable. Ensure marketing materials are well stocked and up to date. Conduct daily walk-throughs to maintain a professional environment. Performance Expectations Successful Membership Consultants consistently demonstrate: Professional appearance and punctuality. Daily Responsibilities Open and prepare the reception area (where applicable). Respond to all new enquiries promptly. Conduct scheduled gym tours and consultations. Follow up with prospective members. Process membership registrations and payments. Answer incoming calls and messages. Greet members and visitors professionally. Keep reception and common areas organised. Update CRM and member records before the end of each shift. Weekly Responsibilities Attend team meetings. Review sales performance and conversion rates. Contact inactive leads and former members. Participate in marketing campaigns and events. Submit weekly sales and activity reports. Contribute ideas to improve the member experience. RequirementsEssential Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Customer service or sales experience. Positive, enthusiastic personality. Professional appearance and attitude. Strong organisational skills. Comfortable using computers and CRM systems. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays when required. Preferred Experience in the fitness, wellness, or hospitality industry. Experience with membership sales. Familiarity with CRM software and sales tracking. Pay: $2,300.00 - $4,500.00 per month Work Location: In person
