# MEDICAL GAS TECHNICIAN **Monticorp contracting and services** · Doha · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 21 день назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Medical Gas Technician – Job Description Position: Medical Gas Technician Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and qualified Medical Gas Technician responsible for the installation, testing, maintenance, repair, and commissioning of medical gas pipeline systems in hospitals, clinics, and healthcare facilities. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, repair, and modify medical gas pipeline systems. Work with Oxygen, Medical Air, Nitrous Oxide, Vacuum, CO₂, and other medical gas systems . Install copper medical gas piping, valves, outlets, manifolds, alarms, and related equipment. Carry out brazing and jointing works according to approved procedures and standards. Perform pressure, leakage, and integrity testing of medical gas pipelines. Assist with testing, commissioning, and verification of medical gas systems. Read and understand MEP drawings, medical gas layouts, schematics, and specifications . Identify and rectify leaks, pressure issues, and system faults. Ensure proper labeling, identification, and segregation of medical gas pipelines. Follow hospital safety procedures, permit-to-work requirements, and infection-control requirements. Coordinate with MEP engineers, supervisors, consultants, and other site teams. Maintain proper records of testing, inspection, maintenance, and commissioning activities. Requirements Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in medical gas installation and maintenance. Experience in hospital, healthcare, or medical facility projects is preferred. Good knowledge of medical gas pipeline systems and components. Strong experience in copper pipe brazing and pressure testing . Ability to read drawings and technical specifications. Knowledge of medical gas safety standards and safe working practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team. Physically fit and willing to work on construction/maintenance sites. Relevant technical qualification or certification is preferred. Preferred Skills Medical Gas Installer/Technician certification. Experience with medical gas alarm systems, manifolds, and terminal units. Knowledge of NFPA 99, HTM 02-01, or other applicable medical gas standards . Experience with testing, commissioning, and certification of medical gas systems.
