Description of Role We’re looking for a mechanical engineer proficient in SolidWorks to support our team on a short-term, part-time contract. You’ll produce production-ready drawings and assemblies, applying sound GD&T practices. - Part-time contract, approximately 25 hours total - Duration: 2–3 months - Location Remote - Open to candidates anywhere in the US who work through their own LLC or business entity - Candidates not working through an LLC must be based in Massachusetts Responsibilities - Create detailed 2D drawings from 3D SolidWorks models - Build and manage basic assemblies - Apply GD&T per ASME Y14.5 to ensure manufacturability and clear design intent - Collaborate with the team to review and revise designs as needed Requirements Required Qualifications - Proficiency in SolidWorks (part modeling, assemblies, drawings) - Solid working knowledge of GD&T - Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience - Portfolio of relevant work required with application Nice to Have - Experience with FEA (SolidWorks Simulation or similar) - Solidworks surfacing - Operating through your own LLC or business entity Other Information - Start date: ASAP - At Dephy, our mission is to empower people to move through life with confidence.
