KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct thermal performance tests on turbines, boilers, heat exchangers, and auxiliary systems. Analyze plant efficiency, heat rate, output, and equipment performance under varying operating and load conditions. Benchmark actual plant and equipment performance against design parameters, performance targets, and contractual guarantees . Identify performance degradation and variances, conduct root cause analysis , and recommend appropriate corrective or optimization measures. Prepare comprehensive test reports, performance curves, calculations, and deviation analyses . Ensure testing methodologies and activities comply with applicable industry standards and performance test codes , including ASME, ISO, and PTC requirements. Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, OEMs, clients, and other technical teams in the planning and execution of performance testing activities. Provide technical insights and recommendations to support plant efficiency, reliability, and continuous performance improvement . QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering . At least 3 years of relevant experience in power plant performance testing and/or operations . Experience in combined-cycle and coal-fired power plants is highly preferred. Strong working knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and power cycle analysis . Proficiency in performance testing tools, engineering calculations, and data analytics platforms . Strong analytical, problem-solving, technical reporting, and communication skills. Familiarity with applicable ASME, ISO, and performance testing standards is an advantage. Must possess a valid driver’s license . Willing and able to travel to or work at project and power plant sites as required.
