# Mechanical Draftsman **Lightning Electromechanical W.L.L** · Doha · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 6 дней назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Job Title Mechanical MEP Draftsman Location Qatar Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical MEP Draftsman with strong experience in preparing detailed mechanical MEP drawings for building and construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate shop drawings, coordination drawings, as-built drawings, and other technical documentation in accordance with project requirements, specifications, and applicable standards. Key Responsibilities * Prepare detailed Mechanical MEP shop drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit. * Develop drawings for HVAC, chilled water, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and other mechanical services. * Prepare layouts, sections, details, schematics, and installation drawings. * Coordinate mechanical drawings with architectural, structural, electrical, and other MEP services. * Review drawings and identify clashes or coordination issues before construction. * Prepare as-built drawings based on site conditions and approved modifications. * Incorporate comments from consultants, engineers, and project management into drawings. * Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, approved materials, and relevant standards. * Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors to ensure drawings accurately reflect site requirements. * Maintain proper drawing registers, revisions, and document control. * Assist engineers in preparing technical submissions and material/shop drawing documentation. * Conduct site visits when required to verify dimensions, installations, and existing conditions. * Ensure all drawings are completed accurately and within the required project deadlines. Required Qualifications & Experience * Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field. * 5–10 years of relevant experience in mechanical MEP drafting, preferably in Qatar MEP construction projects. * Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and mechanical services. * Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD. * Experience with Revit MEP/BIM is highly preferred. * Good understanding of MEP coordination and construction drawings. * Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings. * Knowledge of Qatar/GCC MEP standards and construction practices is an advantage. * Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with engineers and project teams.
