# Mechanical Commissioning Engineer - Dublin **PM Group** · Dublin, County Dublin · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 3 дня назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role : PM Group's Outsourced Technical Services (OTS) department are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join a high-performing project delivery team supporting the commissioning and start-up of large-scale mission critical facilities in Ireland. This position will play a key role in the planning, coordination, execution, and successful handover of complex mechanical, electrical and control systems on technically demanding projects. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, contractors, vendors and end-users to ensure all systems are commissioned safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements, industry standards and client expectations. : Execute commissioning activities for mechanical systems from pre-commissioning through to final handover. Develop and review commissioning procedures, method statements, and test scripts. Coordinate and witness the commissioning of: HVAC systems Chilled water systems DX cooling systems Air handling units (AHUs) CRAC/CRAH units Ventilation systems Pumps and hydronic systems Pressurisation systems Perform functional testing and verification of mechanical equipment and controls. Support integrated systems testing and troubleshooting activities. Liaise with subcontractors, vendors, and project teams to ensure commissioning activities are completed safely and efficiently. Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and equipment submittals. Manage commissioning documentation, test records, and handover dossiers. Identify and resolve mechanical system issues during testing phases. Participate in safety reviews, toolbox talks, and permit-to-work processes. Support project close-out activities and client acceptance testing. : Degree, diploma, or trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 3-5 years' experience in mechanical commissioning, building services, HVAC, or mission critical projects. Strong understanding of mechanical building systems and commissioning methodologies. Experience commissioning: HVAC systems Chilled water systems Air handling equipment Hydronic systems Mechanical controls interfaces Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, specifications, and schematics. Knowledge of Mechanical Completion, Commissioning, and Start-Up processes. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and coordination abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office and commissioning management software. Desirable Experience Previous experience within data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial, or critical environment projects. Familiarity with BMS integration and control system testing. Experience participating in Integrated Systems Testing (IST). Knowledge of commissioning management platforms such as Compass, CxAlloy, BIM360, or similar. Understanding of Irish and European mechanical engineering standards. Membership of Engineers Ireland, CIBSE, ASHRAE, or equivalent professional bodies.
