MECHANIC – HYDRAULIC & PNEUMATIC EQUIPMENT Location: Qatar Employment Type: Full-Time Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Mechanic – Hydraulic & Pneumatic Equipment to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, overhaul, and testing of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and oilfield power equipment. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems and the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment faults safely and efficiently. Qualifications & Experience Minimum 5 years of hands-on mechanical maintenance experience . At least 3 years of experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic power equipment . Diploma, ITI, or Trade Certificate in Mechanical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Automotive, Industrial Maintenance , or a related discipline. Experience in Oil & Gas or industrial equipment maintenance is preferred. Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic circuit diagrams, schematics, and OEM manuals. Core ResponsibilitiesHydraulic Equipment Maintenance Inspect, service, repair, and overhaul hydraulic power units, pumps, motors, cylinders, control valves, manifolds, accumulators, hoses, fittings, and filtration systems. Diagnose hydraulic system faults and perform necessary repairs and adjustments. Pneumatic Equipment Maintenance Maintain and troubleshoot compressors, air motors, actuators, regulators, lubricators, control valves, air preparation units, tubing, and pneumatic circuits. Power Equipment Support Diagnose and repair oilfield power equipment, including: Hydraulic power packs Power tongs Casing running tools Bucking units Handling equipment Winches Workshop machinery Troubleshooting & Fault Diagnosis Identify and troubleshoot pressure loss, leakage, overheating, contamination, abnormal noise, slow operation, component failure, and control-system malfunctions. Use appropriate diagnostic tools and instruments to identify equipment faults. Preventive Maintenance Perform planned preventive maintenance and condition checks. Carry out oil and filter changes, pressure testing, hose inspections, lubrication, and functional testing according to maintenance schedules. Repair & Overhaul Dismantle, inspect, measure, repair, replace, reassemble, and test mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components. Ensure correct tolerances, cleanliness, and OEM procedures are followed. Testing & Commissioning Conduct pressure, leakage, load, functional, and safety tests after repairs. Confirm equipment is safe, operational, and fit for service before releasing it to operations. Spare Parts & Materials Identify required spare parts using drawings, manuals, and component markings. Verify specifications, compatibility, quality, and certification before installation. Documentation Complete inspection reports, maintenance checklists, breakdown reports, parts usage records, repair histories, and equipment status updates accurately and on time. Operational Support Provide workshop and field support during equipment preparation, mobilization, rig-up, operations, breakdown response, and demobilization as required. Continuous Improvement Support root-cause analysis and recommend reliability improvements. Assist in reducing repeat equipment failures and minimizing downtime. General Responsibilities Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition. Participate in toolbox talks, audits, and safety activities. Follow all company HSE policies and procedures. Perform other duties assigned by the Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager.
