Position: Matching Manager Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: Surrogacy / Fertility / Family Building Language: English required; bilingual English/Mandarin Chinese strongly preferred About Lifebridge Lifebridge is a growing U.S. surrogacy agency focused on providing high-quality, personalized surrogacy journeys for intended parents and gestational surrogates. We work with intended parents, surrogates, fertility clinics, attorneys, and referral partners throughout the United States and internationally. As our matching volume continues to grow, we are looking for a thoughtful, highly organized, and relationship-driven Matching Manager to join our team. This is not simply a scheduling or administrative position. The Matching Manager plays a critical role in determining whether an intended parent and surrogate are truly a good fit and in creating the foundation for a successful long-term journey. Position Overview The Matching Manager manages the matching process between intended parents and gestational surrogates. You will work closely with intended parents, surrogates, referral partners, fertility clinics, and internal teams to understand client preferences, identify appropriate surrogate candidates, coordinate match meetings, manage feedback, and move successful matches into the next stage of the journey. The ideal candidate combines: Strong communication + Good judgment + Ownership + Attention to detail + Emotional intelligence. Our goal is not simply to create more matches. Our goal is to create high-quality, durable matches that have a strong likelihood of successfully completing the surrogacy journey. Key ResponsibilitiesIntended Parent & Partner Management Communicate professionally with intended parents and referral partners. Understand each client's priorities, preferences, timeline, fertility clinic, and expectations. Build strong and trusted relationships with clients and business partners. Provide timely updates regarding available surrogate candidates. Manage client expectations when the ideal candidate is not immediately available. Follow up proactively and keep matching opportunities moving forward. Communicate effectively with international clients from different cultural backgrounds. Surrogate Matching Review available surrogate profiles and identify appropriate intended-parent matches. Evaluate compatibility based on location, clinic fit, timeline, family situation, communication style, client preferences, and other relevant factors. Present appropriate surrogate candidates to intended parents and referral partners. Coordinate match calls and interviews. Collect and evaluate feedback from both intended parents and surrogates. Determine appropriate next steps after each match meeting. Respect the decisions of both parties and avoid forcing a match when compatibility is not strong. Clinic & Medical Coordination Develop a working understanding of fertility clinic screening requirements and preferences. Coordinate surrogate medical record review or pre-approval when appropriate. Work closely with the Intake and Medical teams to understand each surrogate's medical status. Identify potential clinic-fit concerns before a match progresses too far. Escalate uncertain medical situations appropriately. The Matching Manager does not make medical decisions but should understand how clinic requirements affect matchability. Rematch Management Manage intended-parent and surrogate rematches according to company policies. Complete a root-cause review before beginning a rematch. Understand why the previous match ended and avoid repeating the same issue. Prioritize rematch cases appropriately while maintaining matching quality. Never sacrifice match quality simply because a case is urgent. Matching Pipeline Management Maintain accurate matching information in the company's CRM and internal systems. Track intended-parent demand, available surrogates, active matching opportunities, interviews, feedback, and next actions. Ensure qualified clients and surrogate candidates are followed up with promptly. Participate in weekly matching reviews. Identify pipeline bottlenecks and recommend solutions. Maintain strong organization while managing multiple active matching opportunities simultaneously. Problem Solving & Escalation Independently resolve routine matching issues. Identify situations that require escalation to senior management. When escalating an issue, provide a clear assessment and recommended solution whenever possible. Learn from unusual or disputed cases and apply those lessons to future decisions. Follow established matching rules even when facing client, partner, or timeline pressure. Required Qualifications Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Strong interpersonal and relationship-management abilities. Exceptional organization and follow-through. Strong judgment and problem-solving ability. Ability to manage multiple clients, surrogate candidates, and timelines simultaneously. Comfortable working with high-expectation clients. Emotionally mature and calm under pressure. Strong sense of ownership and accountability. Able to make decisions rather than constantly waiting for direction. High level of integrity and respect for confidential information. Comfortable receiving feedback and continuously improving. Comfortable learning CRM systems and other technology. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese is strongly preferred. Comfortable communicating professionally with both English-speaking and Mandarin-speaking clients and business partners. Experience working with international or high-net-worth clients is highly valued. Previous experience in surrogacy, fertility, IVF, healthcare, case management, account management, recruiting, hospitality, or high-touch client services. Previous surrogacy or fertility industry experience is strongly preferred. Strong cross-cultural communication skills. Experience managing complex client relationships is a plus. Who Will Succeed in This Role? You may be an excellent fit if you: Build trust quickly with clients and partners. Understand what people want, even when they do not communicate it perfectly. Are naturally proactive and do not need repeated reminders. Notice potential problems before they become larger problems. Can make thoughtful decisions with incomplete information. Stay organized when many cases are moving simultaneously. Can professionally say “no” when a requested match does not make sense. Do not sacrifice long-term quality for short-term numbers. Learn quickly from previous cases and feedback. Take responsibility for outcomes instead of simply completing assigned tasks. Care about the success of the entire surrogacy journey, not simply completing a match. How We Define Success Success in this role is measured by both quantity and quality . A successful Matching Manager consistently delivers: High-quality matches. Strong intended-parent and partner communication. Fast and reliable follow-up. Accurate matching pipeline management. Appropriate surrogate and clinic fit. Fewer avoidable rematches. Strong judgment in routine and unusual situations. Increasing independence from senior management. We do not believe a match is successful simply because two parties say yes. A successful match creates a strong foundation for the entire surrogacy journey. Career Growth Lifebridge is building a growing Matching team, and this position offers a long-term development path: Matching Manager → Senior Matching Manager → Matching Manager Lead High performers may gradually: Take ownership of important clients and referral partners. Manage more complex matching situations. Participate in training other Matching Managers. Help improve company matching rules and processes. Develop stronger decision-making authority. Eventually take on team leadership responsibilities. We are particularly interested in candidates who want to grow with the company and potentially develop into a future leadership role. Our Culture Lifebridge values: Ownership. Judgment. Reliability. Integrity. Empathy. Professionalism. Continuous Improvement. We believe excellent matching is not about convincing two people to say yes. It is about understanding people, making thoughtful decisions, protecting long-term quality, and creating the right foundation for a successful journey. If you are highly organized, confident communicating with clients, comfortable making decisions, and interested in building a long-term career in the surrogacy industry, we would love to hear from you.
