What you'll be doing As Marketing Manager , you will play a pivotal role in building the next chapter of Macro Group’s commercial model. This is a builder role with the opportunity to shape the marketing engine, portfolio strategy, and operating model rather than inherit a mature infrastructure. You will own the brand agenda/ P&L, lead a team of brand managers and work closely with the wider commercial organization / field force to translate strategy into sustainable growth. Shape Portfolio Strategy & P&L: Own the strategic direction, positioning, architecture, and commercial performance of the portfolio across Premium and DTC categories each independently, using market, consumer, channel, and financial insights to strengthen market share, profitability, and marketing ROI. Build the Omni-Channel Growth Engine: Transform brand plans into integrated 360° campaigns, digital, social, influencer, D2C, trade, and healthcare-professional touchpoints, creating consistent brand experiences while connecting communication performance to commercial outcomes. Guide Retail & Shopper Activation: Partner with sales and trade teams to strengthen chain-pharmacy presence, improving shelf visibility, and designing high-impact in-store and shopper activation programs. Lead Market Intelligence & Strategic Insights: Leverage market data, consumer research, competitive intelligence and category insights to identify market trends, growth opportunities, performance gaps, and emerging risks to translate insights into actionable portfolio strategies, brand priorities and informed commercial decisions. Accelerate Innovation & Go-to-Market: Establish disciplined launch frameworks for a high-volume innovation pipeline, translating consumer and market insights into compelling propositions, integrated launch campaigns, and coordinated cross-functional execution. Expand Brands Across International Markets: Adapt portfolio and brand strategies to support Macro’s growing Africa and MENA export agenda, ensuring the right positioning, communication approach, and go-to-market model for priority markets. Build a High-Performance Marketing Organization: Structure, lead, and develop a strong marketing function and direct leadership, establishing clear ownership, commercial accountability, and ways of working that enable speed, creativity, and excellent execution. Connect Strategy with Commercial Execution: Partner closely with sales, trade, finance, supply chain, operations and other stakeholders to turn brand strategy into actionable plans, while using demand forecasting, competitive intelligence, and performance analytics to anticipate risks, optimize investment, and deliver against business targets. What you'll need to succeed Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Pharmacy, or a related discipline; an MBA or advanced marketing qualification is preferred. 10 - 12 years of strategic marketing management experience in fast-moving FMCG, consumer health, or top-tier cosmeceutical/pharma companies, with 5 - 6 years leading marketing teams. Demonstrated success in building brands, leading integrated 360° launches, managing significant marketing budgets, and translating consumer insight into measurable commercial growth. Deep expertise in full-funnel marketing, consumer research, trade marketing synergy, and digital/performance channels. Strong commercial and financial acumen, with proven capability in P&L management, forecasting, portfolio planning, and measuring return on marketing investment. Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams in a fast-changing, entrepreneurial environment, with strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills. A builder mindset with energy, agility, and ownership required to create new capabilities, challenge established ways of working, and scale what works with speed and discipline.
