Marine Recruitment Officer
Responsibilities: With seafarer recruiting experience required Screening and selection of qualified seafarers. Conducts initial screening of applicant’s documents per entry standard, including online applications. Checking the authenticity and completeness of applicant’s documents. Responsible for contacting crew sourced from different marketing sites and record data for future reference. Responsible for the background checking of applicants. Documentation and Record Keeping Responsible for safekeeping of applicant’s submitted documents when required. Ensure complete documentation prior to proposal to crewing offices. Ensures to document the result of interview of each applicant. Maintains and ensure proper regular recording of applicants for statistics required for the department’s key performance. Supervise the filing and disposal of applicant’s 201 File. Provide relevant input concerning recruitment activities within assigned area which may be necessary in the preparation and implementation of annual departmental plans and budget; Conduct recruitment activities which include but not limited to sourcing, pooling, screening, authentication of pre-employment documents, administration of examinations and background investigation, ensuring employing qualified and competent crew and meeting principal requirements; Manage the pool / database of candidates ensuring availability of applicants at any given time; Monitor use of various sourcing methods to ensure steady supply of applicants for pooling; Disseminate and update all concerned on relevant information concerning recruitment policies and procedures.
