Wirthwein is a global manufacturer of high-quality plastic components and system solutions serving the automotive, appliance, medical, and industrial markets. We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our leadership team in Fountain Inn, SC. This role is responsible for driving operational performance, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring the safe and efficient production of quality products that meet customer expectations.

What You'll Do

-

Lead and manage all daily production operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.

-

Provide leadership, coaching, and development for Production Supervisors, Team Leaders, and production associates.

-

Drive a culture of accountability, teamwork, engagement, and continuous improvement.

-

Monitor production schedules and allocate resources to meet customer demands.

-

Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to improve performance.

-

Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Tooling, Logistics, and Human Resources to achieve plant objectives.

-

Reduce scrap, improve efficiency, and support cost reduction initiatives.

-

Ensure compliance with all safety policies, OSHA requirements, and company procedures.

-

Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to address operational challenges.

-

Support talent acquisition, training, succession planning, and workforce development.

-

Champion Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

-

5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.

-

3+ years of experience managing supervisors and production teams.

-

Strong leadership, communication, and employee development skills.

-

Demonstrated success improving productivity, quality, and operational performance.

-

Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

-

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems (ERP/MRP).

Preferred

-

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related discipline.

-

Experience in plastics injection molding and/or automotive manufacturing.

-

Knowledge of IATF 16949 and customer-specific quality requirements.

-

Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
