Manufacturing Lead - Sub Assembly

Position Summary

The Sub Assembly Lead supports the Sub Assembly Manager by coordinating the day-to-day work of sub-assembly employees and helping production run safely, smoothly, and on schedule. This is a hands-on lead role: the Lead works alongside the team, provides direction and coaching, monitors work in progress, and steps into assembly duties when coverage or workload requires it.

Key Responsibilities

· Coordinate daily work for sub-assembly employees, communicate priorities, and help keep work moving to meet production needs.

· Work side by side with employees on assembly tasks and fill in for production work when staffing, absences, or workload require it.

· Monitor work in progress and completed work for accuracy, quality, and alignment with work instructions; raise issues promptly.

· Provide on-the-job guidance to employees, demonstrate safe work practices, and help new or less experienced team members learn assigned tasks.

· Promote a clean, organized, and safe work area and promptly report hazards, equipment concerns, quality issues, or delays to the Sub Assembly Manager.

· Help identify workflow or material constraints and communicate staffing, supply, or equipment needs to the Sub Assembly Manager.

· Support consistent production practices and complete or communicate required production, quality, and attendance information as assigned.

· Model professional conduct, teamwork, accountability, and clear communication on the manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

· Previous lead, team lead, or supervisory experience in a manufacturing, production, assembly, or similar hands-on environment.

· Hands-on experience performing assembly or production work and a willingness to remain actively involved in daily operations.

· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, maintain attention to detail, and reinforce quality and safety expectations.

· Clear communication and dependable organization, with the ability to help set priorities and respond to changing production needs.

· Ability to work cooperatively with employees and managers and to address routine questions or problems calmly and promptly.

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
