L.L.C. Location: Dubai, UAE Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary Gilani Mobility is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Design Engineer to support the design, development, and production of mobility solutions, vehicle modifications, fabricated components, and custom engineering projects. The successful candidate will work closely with the Production, Fabrication, Technical, Procurement, and Management teams to convert project requirements into accurate, practical, and production-ready engineering designs. Key Responsibilities Develop detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings . Design fabricated components, brackets, frames, mounting systems, mechanisms, and custom engineering solutions. Prepare accurate CAD drawings, dimensions, tolerances, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOM) . Convert concepts and customer/project requirements into manufacturable designs . Review existing designs and recommend improvements for functionality, manufacturability, durability, safety, and cost efficiency . Provide technical support to welders, fabricators, installers, and production personnel during manufacturing and assembly. Conduct measurements and site/vehicle inspections when required for custom modifications. Coordinate with Production and Procurement regarding materials, components, and technical specifications. Identify and resolve design or manufacturing issues during production. Maintain proper revision control and organized records of drawings, designs, and technical documentation. Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering, quality, and safety requirements. Support prototype development, testing, modification, and final production implementation. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Design , or a related discipline. Proven experience in mechanical/manufacturing design and CAD drafting . Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, Fusion 360, or similar CAD software . Good understanding of metal fabrication, welding, sheet metal, machining, assembly, and manufacturing processes . Ability to read and produce detailed engineering and manufacturing drawings. Experience preparing BOMs and production documentation . Strong knowledge of dimensions, tolerances, materials, and manufacturing methods. Good problem-solving and technical communication skills. Ability to coordinate directly with workshop and production teams. Experience in automotive modification, mobility equipment, special-purpose vehicles, accessibility products, or custom fabrication is a strong advantage. UAE experience is an advantage. Candidates who are available to join immediately will be preferred. Preferred Candidate We are particularly interested in candidates with hands-on manufacturing knowledge , not solely conceptual design experience. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working between the design office and fabrication workshop , ensuring that engineering designs can be practically and efficiently manufactured.
