The successful candidate will be responsible for building and executing the company's growth strategy across renewable energy, energy transition infrastructure, battery storage, hydrogen, digital energy infrastructure, decentralized energy systems, and selected oil & gas opportunities. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Managing Director will play a central role in originating opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, developing projects, evaluating investments, and building a long-term portfolio of energy assets and commercial relationships. Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership Execute the company's approved strategic vision and business plan. Build and lead a high-performing organization focused on growth, partnerships, and value creation. Identify and evaluate new business opportunities across the energy sector. Support the establishment of the company as a leading regional energy development and investment platform. Develop annual business plans, budgets, and performance objectives. Project Development & Origination Identify, originate, and develop energy infrastructure opportunities across target markets. Lead project development activities from concept through commercial structuring. Evaluate opportunities within: Renewable Energy Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) Hydrogen & Future Fuels Data Center Energy Infrastructure Decentralized Energy Systems & Microgrids Energy Transition Infrastructure Oil & Gas Infrastructure Build and manage a pipeline of strategic projects. Strategic Partnerships Establish relationships with international technology providers, project developers, investors, utilities, and infrastructure platforms. Negotiate strategic cooperation agreements, joint ventures, and commercial partnerships. Lead market-entry and commercialization initiatives for international partners seeking regional expansion. Develop long-term relationships with key stakeholders across both public and private sectors. Investments & Transactions Evaluate acquisition, investment, and co-investment opportunities. Support transaction structuring and commercial negotiations. Lead financial and commercial assessments of new opportunities. Participate in investment committee discussions and recommendations. Support capital raising, project financing, and strategic funding initiatives. Business Development Develop and implement business development strategies. Build relationships with utilities, government entities, industrial groups, infrastructure investors, and technology companies. Identify revenue-generating opportunities across all business divisions. Expand the company's regional and international network. Corporate Development Assist in building organizational capabilities, governance frameworks, and operational processes. Support recruitment and development of key personnel. Develop performance management and reporting structures. Establish partnerships with advisors, consultants, and industry experts where required. Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred. Minimum 15 years of relevant industry experience. Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership position. Demonstrated experience in: Energy infrastructure development Project origination Strategic partnerships Infrastructure investments Project finance Commercial negotiations Business growth and market expansion Preferred Industry Background Experience within one or more of the following organizations is highly desirable: Renewable energy developers Energy infrastructure platforms Utilities Infrastructure investment funds Energy transition companies Project development companies Strategic advisory and investment firms Leadership Competencies Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen. Proven ability to identify and execute growth opportunities. Strong relationship-building capabilities. Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills. Position Objective To build and scale a leading energy development, investment, and commercialization platform capable of originating opportunities, attracting strategic partners, developing projects, facilitating investments, and creating long-term value across the energy sector.
