Position: Manager – Treasury & Banking Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE Industry: Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / EPC

Job Summary

Astra Engineering & Construction LLC is seeking an experienced Manager – Treasury & Banking to oversee treasury operations, cash and liquidity management, banking relationships, funding arrangements, and financial risk management. The role will ensure adequate liquidity for business and project operations, optimize banking costs, maintain effective treasury controls, and provide timely financial reporting to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

• Cash & Liquidity Management: Monitor daily cash positions and bank balances, prepare cash-flow forecasts, manage fund transfers, and ensure sufficient liquidity to meet operational and project funding requirements.
• Banking Relationships: Maintain relationships with local and international banks, negotiate banking facilities and fees, manage corporate bank accounts, signatories, mandates, and electronic payment systems.
• Funding & Debt Management: Coordinate loans, credit lines, working capital facilities, and financing arrangements; monitor facility utilization, repayment schedules, financing costs, and banking covenants.
• Trade Finance: Manage letters of credit (LCs), bank guarantees, and other trade finance instruments required for EPC contracts and project operations.
• Financial Risk Management: Monitor foreign exchange and interest rate exposures and support appropriate hedging strategies in line with company policies.
• Investment Management: Manage surplus cash placements in fixed deposits and approved money-market instruments, balancing returns, liquidity, and risk.
• Treasury Controls & Compliance: Implement treasury policies, payment controls, approval procedures, and segregation of duties; ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable banking requirements.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare reports on cash positions, cash-flow forecasts, debt obligations, facility utilisation, and banking costs for the Finance Director, CFO, CEO, or designated senior management.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with Finance, Accounting, Commercial, Procurement, and Project Management teams to forecast cash requirements and support project funding needs.
• Audit & Documentation: Maintain accurate treasury records and support internal and external audits.

Qualifications & Experience

• Professional qualification in CA, CPA, ACCA, or CMA is mandatory .
• 10–15 years of relevant experience in treasury, banking, corporate finance, or financial management.
• Relevant industry experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sector is required .
• Proven experience in cash and liquidity management, cash-flow forecasting, and working capital management.
• Strong knowledge of corporate banking, loans, credit facilities, trade finance, LCs, bank guarantees, and banking covenants.
• Experience in treasury controls, financial risk management, and banking relationship management.
• Exposure to EPC or other project-based businesses is an advantage.
