Manager of Performance Health Operations
High Performance Sport New Zealand’s vision is Inspiring Performance Every Day. We work in partnership across New Zealand’s high performance sport system to empower athletes to excel on the world stage, within environments that value both performance and wellbeing. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced health operations manager to lead the Performance Health Operations Team at High Performance Sport New Zealand. As Manager of Performance Health Operations, you will lead the effective and efficient operational delivery of HPSNZ’s Performance Health services. You will help ensure our Performance Health centres operate consistently and cohesively as a national service, providing high-quality operational support to health practitioners and the elite athletes they work with. This is a varied leadership role combining health record systems management, people leadership, systems oversight, service coordination and continuous improvement. You will lead and develop the Performance Health Operations Team, oversee health record and administration systems and processes, support workforce and roster planning, coordinate contracts and staff inductions, and work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, including ACC, service providers and vendors. A key focus of the role will be ensuring that our electronic health record system supports safe, efficient and consistent service delivery. We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked as a health practice manager or in a comparable health service operations role. Ideally you will bring strong working knowledge of electronic health record systems (particularly indici) and practical experience using Indici, ideally including administration, workflow development, user support, reporting, quality assurance or system improvement. This is an opportunity to shape the systems and operational foundations that enable HPSNZ’s health practitioners to deliver coordinated, high-quality services to New Zealand’s elite athletes. This is a full-time position based in Auckland until October 2027. We are happy to explore flexible working arrangements in line with HPSNZ policy.
