Position Details Position: Manager, Legal Services Department: Legal Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Q Sentral Employment Type: Full-Time Work Mode: Office-based Working Days: Monday to Friday Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM WFH: May be permitted upon request and approval Travel: Minimal / Occasional Interview Process: Maximum 2 rounds Round 1: Virtual Interview Round 2: Final Face-to-Face Interview with COO Budget: Upto RM7,000 - RM10,000 Role Overview We are looking for a business-oriented legal professional who can effectively balance strong legal expertise with commercial understanding. The role will primarily focus on contract and corporate law , including reviewing international contracts governed by different laws and jurisdictions. The successful candidate should be confident in making sound legal and commercial decisions, working under pressure, and prioritizing matters based on business requirements and stakeholder needs. Key Responsibilities Review, draft, negotiate, and advise on commercial and corporate contracts . Review international agreements and contracts that may be governed by different laws and jurisdictions. Provide practical legal advice while maintaining a strong commercial and business-oriented approach . Identify key legal and commercial risks and recommend appropriate solutions. Support business stakeholders with timely and commercially practical legal guidance. Prioritize legal matters based on business requirements, urgency, and potential impact. Analyze complex legal issues and synthesize them into clear, actionable recommendations. Work independently and take ownership of assigned legal matters. Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and overseas offices. Remain accessible and responsive to business and stakeholder requirements. Work effectively under pressure and make sound decisions within required timelines. Maintain a professional, proactive, and dynamic approach to legal service delivery. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be: Self-driven and proactive , with the ability to take initiative. Business-oriented with strong commercial appreciation . Confident in reviewing and advising on international contracts. Comfortable working with contracts subject to different laws and jurisdictions . Strong in legal analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making. Able to prioritize multiple matters and work effectively under pressure. Organized, autonomous, and capable of managing responsibilities independently. Professional, approachable, and responsive to stakeholder requirements. Strong in balancing legal acumen with practical business needs . Education & Experience Professional legal qualification or Bachelor's Degree in Law. 3–5 years of relevant legal experience , particularly in: Contract Law Corporate Law Commercial Legal Advisory International / Cross-Border Contracts Supervisory Responsibility This is currently a direct contributor role with minimal supervisory responsibility. The role may take on supervisory responsibilities in the future as the legal department expands. Work Environment Professional office environment. Primarily office-based at Q Sentral, Kuala Lumpur . Standard office equipment and facilities will be provided. Flexible timing may occasionally be required to support overseas offices. Travel Travel requirements are minimal and/or periodic . Some travel may be required during the initial employment period for orientation and familiarization.
