You'll serve as an advisor, facilitator, and educator to internal stakeholders, guiding sourcing strategy development and execution. Export Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf. Key job responsibilities • Earn trust with internal business partners; establish enduring relationship, build a robust understanding of commodities, strategic business direction, requirements and priorities across suppliers and/or spend categories. • Develop global sourcing strategies to deliver against business plans, goals and objectives for internal clients. • Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models and bench-marking analysis; leveraging key-insights to inform and support the Strategic Sourcing strategy development process. • Drive results by leveraging RFx, spend pattern analysis, contract analysis, bid evaluation, negotiations, and supplier consolidation. • Work with business and finance leaders to identify and drive savings and controllership improvements, optimizing the return on investment and total cost of ownership. • Engage the appropriate subject matter experts, including Legal, Tax, Risk, and Information Security, to evaluate and develop strategies to mitigate third party risk About the team Here at Amazon, we embrace our differences.
