The successful candidate must be a highly organised and confident individual who can make a difference to a young and dynamic office whilst thriving in a team environment reporting directly to the Head of Finance. The Company Monks Contractors is a growing family run business who specialise in waste - we provide haulage and waste specification plant hire to the waste industry, Monks Contractors offers it all from processing the waste, shredding it, loading it and transporting it. We also have a high pressure water drain jetting team, civil contracting team, plant repair, hire and sales. Responsible for; · Managing day to day finance operations using Sage 50 Accounts and Payroll · Assist monthly management accounts process including calculation of prepayments and accruals · Balance sheet reconciliations · Maintain Fixed Asset Register · Oversee and maintain Purchase and Sales Ledgers including credit control · Prepare statutory returns including VAT, PAYE & CIS · Overseeing multiple bank reconciliations · Support the implementation and improvement of processes · Invoicing customers · Process payroll including average holiday pay calculations · Assist with audit queries Essential Requirements; · Strong Excel skills · Sage Line 50 and payroll experience would be advantageous · Strong organisation skills and high attention to detail Job Type: Full-time Pay: £36,000.00-£38,000.00 per year Work Location: In person
