With an expanding international partner network, we are a growing business committed to exceptional service and to the team who delivers it. Summary We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to own our finance function end to end, working directly with the Managing Director. A thorough understanding of VAT is essential. Our revenue runs across multiple VAT streams, including principal, agency, corporate and zero-rated international income, and each requires the correct treatment. This role suits someone who takes pride in accurate, on-time work and doesn't need chasing. Responsibilities Post daily transactions to Xero Reconcile all bank and credit card accounts Post month-end journals Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet, by the 15th of each month Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable Run monthly staff payroll and weekly driver pay Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns across multiple VAT streams Maintain the company budget and report on variances Prepare ad-hoc financial reports as required Communicate regularly with management, operations and external accountants Skills AAT Level 3 or 4 qualified (or higher) Strong, demonstrable VAT knowledge, including principal and agent treatment Strong proficiency in Xero accounting software Strong Microsoft Excel skills Confident using AI tools to automate routine tasks, speed up reconciliations and reporting, and work more efficiently Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to analyse financial data and explain the numbers clearly Experience Minimum 3 years' experience running small business accounts, including VAT returns and payroll.
