This pivotal role combines technical expertise with leadership skills to oversee daily machine operations, implement process improvements, and uphold quality standards. As a key contributor to our manufacturing team, you will champion continuous improvement initiatives, streamline workflows, and foster a safety-first environment that promotes efficiency and innovation. Duties Managing the dough cutting machine Perform routine maintenance such as: daily set up, cleaning, lubrication, and logging maintenance hours within the machine settings Monitor machine performance during operation to ensure consistent dough cuts, weight, shape, and portioning Ensure the production schedule is followed and targets (e.g., volume, timing) are met Maintain quality standards by checking dough consistency, machine cuts, and ensuring minimal waste Monitoring team assisting to ensure quality, speed, productivity Set up and calibrate the dough cutting machine for various product specifications Adjust machine settings for different recipes or products and creating flavour profiles (logging settings for each flavour) Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and food handling standards within the dough making team Responsible for training a back up on machine operation, safety, and quality protocols Communicate with other teams like mixing or packaging to ensure smooth workflow Ensuring the machine and compressor is safely turned off at the end of each work day Responsible for reporting any issues, missing oil/grease, and concerns Assisting with daily logistics Cleaning & organizing as needed Experience Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and equipment maintenance. Familiarity with supply chain processes, including inventory control, and logistics coordination. Strong background in quality control practices within a manufacturing setting. Experience leading or supervising machine operators or assembly teams is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively.
