Overview The Logistics Operations Manager – East Boston owns the day-to-day operation of Happy Valley’s East Boston manufacturing and distribution site. This individual leads a team of Transport Technicians and Packaging Technicians and is accountable for the site’s five core functions: edibles manufacturing support, inventory control, warehousing, intake of inter-facility transfers, and wholesale distribution. This is a player-coach role. The Logistics Operations Manager works on the floor with the team each day, sets firm schedules and clear priorities, and keeps every physical movement of product matched by an accurate, same-day transaction in Happy Valley’s ERP and METRC. The Logistics Operations Manager partners with the Operations, Product Development, Wholesale, Security, and Finance teams, and is a key contributor to Happy Valley’s push to standardize, systematize, and automate site operations. Team Leadership: Supervise and coach Transport Technicians and Packaging Technicians. Set firm, structured schedules for hourly staff and hold the team to them. Coordinate daily workflow across transport, production support, and fulfillment to keep the team productively and purposefully engaged. Foster a culture of pride and excellence in execution. Establish individual and team KPIs with the VP of Supply Chain Management and monitor performance against them. Production Operations: Maintain a safe and clean manufacturing environment. Own execution of the East Boston edibles production and packaging schedule. Maintain impeccable control and prep flow of inventory. Record production prep, production output, materials consumption, labor, and waste in the ERP accurately and same day. Drive standardization and forward planning over time: par levels, repeatable run cadences, and reduced hand-to-mouth scheduling. Inventory Control & Warehousing: Lead cannabis inventory audits, ensuring 100% accuracy between physical counts and ERP/METRC records. Investigate and resolve discrepancies to root cause. Lead non-cannabis consumables and packaging materials audits, cycle counts, requisitions, and receipts. Wholesale Distribution: Plan and communicate wholesale distribution routes. Manage customer-specific delivery windows, routing constraints, and day-of adjustments. Serve as the primary point of contact for delivery questions, complications, and scheduling. Review and validate METRC transport manifests, COAs, and scale records for all outgoing orders to ensure regulatory compliance and accuracy. Maintain compliant historical records. Technology Manage software tools, including ERP (Acumatica), METRC (track and trace), fleet telematics (MetTel), and lone-worker safety (StaySafe). Partner with Happy Valley’s BI and Wholesale teams to automate scheduling, routing, and reporting workflows. Document processes and maintain SOPs so the operation runs the same way every day, independent of any one person. Physical Assets Track and manage upkeep of fleet vehicles. Oversee cleaning and preventative maintenance schedules of edibles production machinery. Pay range: $90000 to $100000 per year Required skills 5+ years’ experience managing manufacturing and/or distribution of consumer-packaged goods or commercial foodstuffs including the oversight of production staff, warehouse staff, or fleet drivers. Proficient user of ERP/system of record software (Acumatica, NetSuite, SAGE, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or similar) in a CPG manufacturing/distribution environment Strong attention to detail. Strong interpersonal, supervisory, and communication skills. Passion for operational processes, systems, problem solving. Ability to self-start, work productively with minimal oversight, work quickly, and adapt to change. Onsite at Happy Valley East Boston from 7 AM – 4 PM ET, Monday – Friday, periodic visits to Happy Valley Gloucester. Must be 21 years of age or older and eligible for hire in accordance with CCC hiring guidelines. Desired skills Experience with route-based delivery logistics and small fleet coordination. Experience implementing or improving systems: WMS, barcode/scanning, cycle count programs, or process automation. Lean, continuous improvement, or comparable process-discipline training.
