A. Job purpose To lead the end-to-end logistics operations for Japan Henkel Consumer Business, ensuring optimal service to customers while driving cost efficiency, process excellence, and alignment with regional/global strategies. Responsible for Logistics cost gatekeeper & performance, Transportation, Warehousing for Japan overall logistics side by innovative project leading B. Dimension / Key Figures 1. # SKU : 1000 2. # Warehouse : 1 Main WH / 1 DG WH 3. # Receiving Plants / # Ship-to : 5 CM Plants / over 4,500 Customers including 9 export Asia countreis 4. # Pallet Volume : Daily Storage vol : 10K / Annual in/outbound : 9K PLT C. Main tasks & responsibilities 1. Lead day-to-day warehouse and transportation operations (inbound/outbound, inventory control, VAS) in compliance with safety and quality standards. 2. Manage 3PL partners to ensure service performance, cost control, and contract compliance. 3. Drive logistics planning including mid- to long-term capacity forecasting, budgeting, and KPI tracking. 4. Identify and implement logistics optimization initiatives (e.g., route optimization, load consolidation, warehouse relocation) 5. Collaborate closely with demand planning, sales, and marketing to ensure supply chain alignment. 8. Act as a key contact point for major retail customers, resolving escalations and fostering customer satisfaction. 10. Team management & People development D. Projects & Strategy 1. Lead logistics projects such as SAP/ERP upgrades, warehouse transitions, and digital transformation initiatives. 2. Collaborate with APAC/Global teams on regional initiatives, compliance, and best practice sharing. 3. Ensure business continuity and risk mitigation (e.g., during system outages or external disruptions). What makes you a good fit Must Have Minimum 10 years of experience in Supply Chain and Logistics. Experience in FMCG warehouse operations or FMCG handling within a 3PL/contract logistics environment. Native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency. Working knowledge of WMS and ERP systems. Proven people management experience with 3+ direct reports Nice to Have Project management experience is preferred. Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Team-oriented with a proactive and self-driven mindset.
