# LOGISTICS & BUSINESS ANALYST **AL FARIQ PROPERTIES** · Dubai · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 9 дней назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role LOGISTICS & BUSINESS ANALYST Location: Dubai, UAE Department: Logistics / Operations / Business Development Reports To: General Manager / Operations Director Employment Type: Full-Time Job Purpose: The Logistics & Business Analyst will analyze logistics operations, transportation activities, costs, shipments, warehouse performance, customer requirements, and business data to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, increase profitability, and support management decision-making. The candidate will work closely with the Operations, Finance, Sales, Warehouse, Procurement, and Customer Service teams. Key Responsibilities 1. Logistics & Operations Analysis * Monitor daily shipment and delivery performance. * Analyze delivery schedules, delays, vehicle utilization, and route efficiency. * Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions. * Monitor transportation and warehouse productivity. * Analyze fleet, driver, shipment, and delivery performance. * Track order-to-delivery cycle times. 2. Cost & Profitability Analysis * Analyze transportation, fuel, warehouse, manpower, and handling costs. * Calculate cost per shipment, delivery, kilometer, vehicle, and customer. * Identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary logistics expenses. * Analyze customer and route profitability. * Prepare monthly logistics cost and profitability reports. 3. Business Intelligence & Reporting * Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly management reports. * Develop dashboards using Microsoft Excel and Power BI. * Analyze trends, performance, and operational KPIs. * Present key findings and recommendations to management. * Maintain accurate databases and operational records. 4. Supply Chain Analysis * Monitor inventory movement and stock levels. * Analyze demand and supply requirements. * Identify slow-moving and fast-moving products. * Support warehouse and distribution planning. * Analyze supplier and customer performance. 5. Business Development Support * Analyze potential customers, markets, routes, and distribution opportunities. * Prepare business cases and financial projections. * Evaluate new logistics contracts and customer requirements. * Support management in pricing and commercial decisions. * Analyze competitor pricing and market trends. Key Performance Indicators — KPIs The Analyst will be measured on: * Reduction in logistics operating costs * Improvement in on-time delivery percentage * Reduction in delivery delays * Improvement in vehicle utilization * Reduction in empty trips * Improvement in warehouse productivity * Accuracy of management reports * Reduction in cost per shipment * Improvement in customer profitability * Accuracy of forecasting and operational analysis * Timely delivery of management reports Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field. * 2–5 years of relevant experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, distribution, or business analysis. * Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, charts, and data analysis. * Experience with Power BI is highly preferred. * Knowledge of ERP/WMS/TMS systems is an advantage. * Strong numerical and analytical abilities. * Excellent communication and reporting skills. * Ability to work with large datasets and identify meaningful business insights. * UAE logistics experience is preferred. Preferred Experience Experience in any of the following sectors will be an advantage: * FMCG distribution * E-commerce logistics * Warehousing * Last-mile delivery * Freight forwarding * Transportation * Retail distribution * Food & beverage distribution * Import/export logistics Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate should not only prepare reports but also be able to answer: “What is happening, why is it happening, what is it costing us, and what should management do about it?” The candidate must be commercially minded, highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of converting operational data into practical business decisions. Salary & Benefits Depending on experience and technical skills. For a stronger candidate with advanced Power BI, SQL, ERP/TMS experience and logistics-sector expertise, a higher package can be considered. Days 31–60: Establish accurate reporting, identify major operational inefficiencies, and develop initial dashboards. Days 61–90: Present cost-saving opportunities, route/vehicle optimization recommendations, customer profitability analysis, and an improved KPI reporting system. Work Location: In person
