Logistics and Contract Tranport Operations Manager
Job Reaponsibilities 1. Logistics & Transport Operations Plan, organize, and manage daily logistics and transportation operations Ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of goods Oversee routing, scheduling, and dispatch of vehicles and drivers Coordinate with warehouse, fleet, and customer service teams 2. Fleet & Transport Management Supervise company-owned and third-party transport providers Ensure vehicle availability, roadworthiness, and preventive maintenance Monitor fuel consumption, mileage, and transport costs Ensure compliance with transport laws, safety standards, and company policies 3. Team Management & Supervision Lead and supervise logistics and transport staff, including drivers and coordinators Assign duties, monitor performance, and enforce discipline Conduct training and performance evaluations Ensure proper implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) 4. Vendor & Contract Management Manage contracts with trucking companies, suppliers, and service providers Negotiate transport rates and service-level agreements Evaluate vendor performance and recommend improvements or termination 5. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with government regulations and industry standards Oversee transport documentation, permits, and licenses Handle accidents, incidents, and insurance claims Implement safety programs and corrective actions 6. Cost Control & Reporting Prepare and monitor logistics and transport budgets Analyze operational costs and implement cost-saving measures Prepare management reports on transport performance and KPIs Coordinate with finance for billing and cost reconciliation Benefits: On-site parking Work Location: In person
