Logistics Account Manager

Job Summary

Premier Logistics Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Logistics Account Manager to join our growing freight brokerage team. We are looking for someone with 1–3 years of freight brokerage experience who understands the transportation industry, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can effectively manage customer relationships, carrier negotiations, and daily freight operations.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Dry Van and Flatbed freight , including carrier sourcing, load management, rate negotiations, and customer service. Experience with Heavy Haul, Oversized, Overweight, and Specialized Freight is a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage freight shipments from initial booking through final delivery.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and carriers.
• Source and negotiate competitive carrier rates while maintaining profitable margins.
• Coordinate Dry Van, Flatbed, and other open-deck freight movements.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities while growing existing accounts.
• Monitor shipments, proactively resolve issues, and provide excellent customer communication.
• Maintain accurate load information, documentation, and updates within our Transportation Management System (TMS).
• Collaborate with brokerage and operations teams to ensure efficient freight execution.

Required Qualifications

• 1–3 years of freight brokerage experience required.
• Dry Van and Flatbed brokerage experience required.
• Strong understanding of freight rates, carrier sourcing, and transportation operations.
• Experience negotiating rates and managing multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency with transportation management systems and load boards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Heavy Haul, Oversized/Overweight, or Specialized Freight experience.
• Experience coordinating Step Deck, Double Drop, RGN, or Conestoga shipments.
• Established customer or carrier relationships.
• Experience developing new customer accounts and expanding existing business.
