Localization Manager

Role Description The Localization Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end localization process for design-related content, products, and communications across multiple markets. This part-time, hybrid role is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with a mix of on-site collaboration and work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day tasks include managing translation workflows, coordinating localization testing, aligning content with globalization strategies, and ensuring that localized materials meet quality, linguistic, and cultural standards. The role involves working closely with designers, project managers, and external language partners to define requirements, set timelines, track progress, and resolve localization issues. The Localization Manager will also document processes, maintain glossaries and style guides, and provide guidance on best practices for localizing visual and written content.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Translation and Localization Testing, with experience adapting content for multiple languages and markets.
• Knowledge of Globalization practices, including cultural adaptation, regional standards, and internationalization considerations.
• Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with creative, technical, and external localization teams.
• Proven Project Management capabilities, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
• Experience in or strong familiarity with design, creative industries, or digital products is highly beneficial.
• Comfort working in a hybrid environment in Dubai, with the ability to manage priorities independently and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with localization tools, content management systems, or translation management platforms is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, Localization, Communication, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
