# Local Accounting Team Lead (CPA/Shared Services / Midshift/ up to 100K) **People Matter PH** · Quezon City · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 7 дней назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role About the Role We are looking for an experienced Accounting Team Lead to oversee the accounting, tax, payroll, statutory compliance, and financial operations of the Philippine entity within a multinational Shared Services environment. As the local finance lead , you will ensure that the Philippine entity remains compliant with local accounting standards, tax regulations, labor requirements, BOI regulations, and statutory reporting obligations. You will also work closely with regional and global finance teams to maintain strong financial controls and drive operational efficiency. The role will oversee month-end close, payroll, tax compliance, audits, regulatory reporting, vendor management, and local finance operations , while serving as a key finance partner to various business stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Financial Accounting & Month-End Close Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process for the Philippine entity. Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with PFRS, IFRS, and company policies . Review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and balance sheet schedules. Conduct financial and variance analysis and provide insights to management. Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and corporate governance standards, where applicable. Coordinate external and year-end audits and serve as the key contact for auditors. Philippine Payroll Oversight Oversee end-to-end payroll operations in partnership with payroll providers and HR. Ensure accurate and timely processing and remittance of statutory requirements, including: BIR withholding taxes SSS PhilHealth Pag-IBIG Review payroll reconciliations and statutory reports. Ensure payroll processes comply with Philippine labor regulations and internal controls. Tax & Regulatory Compliance Oversee local tax compliance, including Corporate Income Tax, EWT, FWT, VAT, and DST , where applicable. Ensure timely and accurate filing and payment of BIR tax returns. Coordinate tax audits, assessments, and inquiries from government agencies. Monitor changes in Philippine tax regulations and assess their potential impact on the business. BOI & Statutory Compliance Lead finance-related BOI compliance and reporting requirements . Prepare and submit BOI registrations, annual reports, and other required documentation. Monitor compliance with BOI incentive conditions and reporting deadlines. Manage statutory and regulatory requirements involving SEC, BIR, BOI, LGUs, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG , and other relevant government agencies. Oversee business permit renewals, registrations, and other local regulatory filings. Ensure corporate and statutory records are complete, accurate, and up to date. Vendor & Service Provider Management Manage relationships with external finance service providers, including: Payroll providers Accounting firms Tax consultants Audit firms Corporate secretarial providers Government compliance consultants Monitor vendor performance and ensure services are delivered according to agreed requirements. Support finance-related procurement and contract management activities. Leadership & Stakeholder Management Serve as the primary finance representative for the Philippine entity. Partner closely with regional and global finance teams, HR, Legal, Procurement, and business leaders. Provide guidance and support to local finance and shared services teams. Drive process improvements, system implementations, and other finance transformation initiatives. Support business expansion and other strategic projects affecting the Philippine entity. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or Accounting . CPA license required or strongly preferred. 8–12 years of progressive accounting and finance experience . At least 3 years of supervisory or people management experience . Experience supporting a PEZA- or BOI-registered entity . Experience in a multinational Shared Services Center, Global Business Services (GBS), or BPO environment . Experience working with regional or global finance teams. Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting, tax, payroll, and statutory compliance. Experience serving as a Philippine local entity finance lead or finance supervisor . Hands-on experience managing: Month-end close Philippine payroll BIR and local tax compliance Statutory reporting BOI compliance and reporting External audits Finance vendors and service providers Familiarity with internal controls and SOX compliance . Experience in US healthcare is an advantage. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of PFRS/IFRS and accounting principles . Strong understanding of Philippine tax, payroll, labor, and statutory regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems . Experience with NetSuite is highly desirable . Strong financial reporting and analytical skills. Familiarity with audit procedures and internal control frameworks. Key Competencies Strong leadership and people management skills.
