Position Overview The Loan Operations Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and performance of the Loan Operations and Central Document Processing (CDP) Department. This role oversees loan booking, servicing, payment processing, documentation preparation, reporting, quality control, loan maintenance, and operational support for consumer, commercial, real estate, and SBA lending activities. The position works closely with executive management, lending officers, credit administration, compliance, accounting, and other key departments to ensure operational accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. What You'll Do Lead and Manage Operations Direct all activities within Loan Operations and Central Document Processing. Ensure the accurate and timely processing, boarding, servicing, and maintenance of the bank's loan portfolio. Oversee workflow management, productivity, service standards, and operational efficiency. Identify and implement process improvements that enhance customer service and operational effectiveness. Support strategic initiatives and special projects that contribute to the bank's continued growth. Oversee Loan Administration and Quality Control Audit new and renewed loans for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Monitor corrective actions and ensure timely resolution of identified issues. Review daily loan maintenance activity and operational reports. Oversee loan file custody, loan exceptions, system maintenance, and transaction processing. Review or approve transactions involving bankruptcies, charge-offs, foreclosures, repossessions, non-accrual loans, reserves, and related servicing activities. Ensure Compliance and Reporting Excellence Prepare and oversee key operational and management reports. Support internal and external audits, examinations, and compliance reviews. Maintain strong internal controls and adherence to bank policies and regulatory requirements. Participate in management and risk-related committees as assigned. Build and Develop a High-Performing Team Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Loan Operations and CDP professionals. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching discussions. Recruit, train, and onboard new employees. Foster a collaborative, positive, and accountable work environment. Serve as a resource for employees, lenders, and bank personnel on complex loan and operational matters. What We're Looking For Required Experience Minimum of 10 years experience in commercial and consumer loan operations within a financial institution. Extensive knowledge of loan servicing, loan documentation, collateral perfection, and operational processes. Minimum of 5 years management experience leading teams in a banking operations environment. Demonstrated success managing multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional accuracy and compliance standards. Preferred Qualifications Associate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Industry training and continuing education related to loan operations and banking functions. Experience with Fiserv, LaserPro, Microsoft Office, and similar banking and loan platform technologies.
