The successful candidate will advise on complex and high-profile matters, including judicial reviews, statutory challenges, regulatory investigations and public law proceedings. They will be part of a “Tier 1” (Legal 500) specialist practice group, working closely with a diverse client base, including, public bodies , developers, infrastructure providers, utilities and corporate clients, appearing before the courts and regulatory bodies. Key Responsibilities Manage litigation matters from inception through to hearing, resolution and appeal where required. Advise clients on judicial reviews, regulatory disputes, statutory challenges and public law proceedings. Draft legal opinions and correspondence as well as pleadings, affidavits, written submissions in appropriate cases . Work closely with clients, counsel, expert witnesses and technical consultants. Work as part of a high-performance team and be capable of progressing matters independently. Represent clients before courts, tribunals and regulatory bodies as appropriate. Engage in continuous learning and development of specialist expertise. Contribute to business development initiatives, client briefings, legal updates and thought leadership activities. Support and mentor junior lawyers and trainees where appropriate. Requirements Qualified solicitor with 2+ years’ PQE. Hands-on High Court litigation experience in Ireland, gained in a leading law firm or comparable environment. Experience in judicial review, regulatory, public law or commercial litigation. While practice experience in EU and Irish planning and environmental law is not essential, a genuine interest in this area is desirable. Good verbal communication and presentation skills are essential to the role.
