Liquor Store Manager Company: 1965 LIMITED T/A Thirsty Liquor finlayson Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent (30–40 hours per week) Location: Auckland, New Zealand About the Role 1965 Limited is seeking an experienced and motivated Store Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our liquor retail store. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, maintaining excellent customer service standards, controlling inventory, driving sales performance, and ensuring compliance with all relevant liquor licensing requirements. Key Responsibilities Plan, organise, direct, and control the daily operations of the retail liquor store. Manage and supervise store staff, including recruitment, training, performance management, and rostering. Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained at all times. Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve sales and profitability targets. Manage inventory levels, stock ordering, receiving, storage, and stock control procedures. Maintain attractive product displays and merchandising in accordance with company standards. Monitor cash handling procedures, banking, and financial reporting activities. Ensure compliance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act, licensing requirements, and responsible alcohol sales practices. Verify age identification procedures and ensure all staff comply with legal obligations regarding alcohol sales. Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and operational issues professionally and efficiently. Liaise with suppliers and negotiate purchasing arrangements where required. Monitor store security, loss prevention measures, and workplace health and safety compliance. Prepare operational reports, sales reports, inventory reports, and other management documentation. Implement company policies, procedures, and promotional activities. Ensure the store is clean, organised, and maintained to a high standard. Minimum Requirements Applicants must meet one of the following criteria: At least 2 years of relevant work experience OR A Level 5 qualification Work Location: In person Pay: $30.00 – $38.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week Work Location: In person
