# Lifting Supervisor **Dutco Construction** · Dubai · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 6 дней назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Lifting Supervisor - Job Specification & Selection Criteria (LEEA Certified) Purpose of the Role The Lifting Supervisor is responsible for the safe planning, coordination, supervision, and execution of all lifting operations on construction projects, ensuring compliance with project requirements, approved lifting plans, statutory regulations, and international lifting standards. The role is critical in maintaining safe lifting practices and coordinating between crane operators, riggers, signalmen, and site management teams. Minimum Qualification Requirements Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field preferred. Valid LEEA (Lifting Equipment Engineers Association) Certification is mandatory. Additional lifting-related certifications such as Appointed Person, Rigging Supervisor, CPCS, NPORS, OSHA, NEBOSH, or equivalent will be advantageous. Valid training certificates for lifting operations and lifting equipment inspection. Experience Requirements Minimum 7-10 years of experience in lifting operations within large-scale construction, infrastructure, industrial, power, oil & gas, data center, or MEP projects. Minimum 3-5 years in a Lifting Supervisor capacity . Experience supervising mobile cranes, tower cranes, crawler cranes, gantry cranes, and heavy lifting activities. Proven experience in high-risk lifting operations, critical lifts, tandem lifts, and heavy equipment installation. GCC/UAE experience preferred. Key ResponsibilitiesLifting Operations Management Supervise and coordinate all lifting activities on site. Ensure lifting operations are executed in accordance with approved lifting plans and method statements. Verify crane capacities, lifting accessories, and equipment suitability before lifting activities. Monitor critical and non-routine lifting operations. Ensure proper communication between crane operators, riggers, and banksmen. Safety & Compliance Enforce compliance with HSE requirements, project standards, and lifting procedures. Conduct pre-lift briefings and toolbox talks. Ensure all lifting personnel are trained, competent, and certified. Stop any unsafe lifting activity immediately. Monitor exclusion zones and lifting areas to ensure public and workforce safety. Inspection & Equipment Control Verify valid inspection certificates for cranes and lifting accessories. Ensure lifting gear, slings, shackles, spreader beams, and lifting equipment are properly maintained and inspected. Coordinate with third-party inspectors for statutory inspections when required. Maintain lifting equipment registers and inspection records. Planning & Coordination Review lifting plans, risk assessments, and method statements. Participate in project planning meetings involving heavy lifting activities. Coordinate crane movements and lifting schedules with construction teams. Support engineering teams during heavy equipment installation activities. Documentation & Reporting Maintain lifting permits and lifting operation records. Prepare lifting reports and incident investigations when required. Ensure compliance documentation is available for audits and inspections. Monitor and report lifting performance and compliance KPIs. Technical Competencies The candidate shall demonstrate strong knowledge of: LEEA regulations and best practices. LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations). BS 7121 Lifting Operations Standards. Crane load charts and lifting calculations. Critical lift planning and execution. Rigging methods and lifting techniques. Heavy lifting operations and lifting equipment selection. Risk assessments and method statements. Construction site safety regulations and permit-to-work systems. Leadership & Behavioral Competencies Strong leadership and supervisory skills. Excellent communication and coordination abilities. Effective decision-making under pressure. Strong safety-focused mindset. Ability to manage multiple lifting activities simultaneously. Good stakeholder management skills with clients, consultants, and subcontractors. Ability to mentor and develop rigging and lifting teams. Mandatory Selection Criteria The candidate must: ✅ Hold a valid LEEA Certification ✅ Have minimum 7 years of lifting operations experience ✅ Have minimum 3 years as a Lifting Supervisor ✅ Demonstrate experience with heavy lifting and critical lifting operations ✅ Have experience supervising crane operators, riggers, and banksmen ✅ Possess strong knowledge of lifting plans, risk assessments, and lifting regulations ✅ Have construction, industrial, infrastructure, oil & gas, or MEP project experience ✅ Be capable of leading site-wide lifting activities independently ✅ Possess strong HSE compliance and incident prevention knowledge ✅ Be able to review and implement lifting methodologies and procedures Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month License/Certification: LEEA Certificate?
