Lifting Foreman
Department: Field Operations Reports To: General Superintendent / Project Manager Position Type: Full-Time, On-Site Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dependable Lifting Foreman to lead an on-site crew for our construction projects. In this role, you will balance direct tool-and-trade labor with active site supervision. You will ensure that your team completes daily tasks safely, efficiently, on schedule, and up to our high quality standards. You also serve as the primary communication link between field workers and project management. Key Responsibilities Hands-On Leadership: Work directly alongside crew members and subcontractors, performing skilled physical labor and trade tasks while guiding overall team performance. Daily Operations & Scheduling: Coordinate daily work assignments based on project priorities, upcoming look-ahead schedules, and changing site conditions. Safety Enforcement: Lead morning safety huddles (toolbox talks), enforce OSHA guidelines and company safety policies, and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Quality Control: Inspect completed work regularly to verify alignment with blueprints, architectural plans, and local building codes. Resource & Material Management: Track daily material use, monitor tool and equipment maintenance, and request necessary supplies before shortages stall progress. Communication & Reporting: Update project managers and superintendents daily regarding work progress, schedule setbacks, or material needs. Crew Mentorship: Train apprentices and onboard new crew members, providing hands-on instruction and constructive feedback. Qualifications & Requirements Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on construction experience within the relevant trade, including 1–2 years in a lead, supervisory, or foreman capacity. Technical Skills: Advanced ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and technical specifications. Safety Knowledge: In-depth understanding of safety rules, building codes, and standard industry operating procedures. Communication Skills: Clear verbal communication skills to instruct crew members, coordinate with subcontractors, and report to management. Physical Stamina: Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform heavy manual labor, including bending, lifting up to 50–80 lbs, and standing for long periods. Credentials: Valid driver’s license and high school diploma or completed trade certification (e.g., carpentry, electrical, masonry). Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,500.00 per month Work Location: In person
