The successful candidate must work exclusively with our organization in the field of Canadian immigration consulting and must not independently provide immigration consulting services or actively operate a separate immigration consulting practice while employed with us. Any existing outside immigration practice must be appropriately discontinued before commencing employment, subject to applicable legal and professional requirements. Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $85,000–$105,000 per year, depending on experience, professional capabilities and ability to independently manage and review complex immigration matters. Role Overview As our organization continues to grow and expand internationally, we are seeking an experienced and highly capable Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) to join our Richmond team. This is not simply a case-processing position. We are looking for a strong casework specialist and problem solver who can independently assess complex situations, develop well-reasoned immigration strategies, identify risks, review the work of the case processing team, and provide clear professional guidance. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct client consultations and independently assess immigration options and risks; * Develop strategies for complex and higher-risk immigration matters; * Review applications, submissions and supporting documents prepared by the case processing team; * Identify inconsistencies, missing evidence, compliance concerns and potential weaknesses before submission; * Provide professional guidance and direction to case processing staff; * Handle complex matters requiring senior RCIC judgment; * Conduct immigration research and remain current with legislation, regulations, policies and program changes; * Assist with procedural fairness responses, refusal analysis, reconsideration requests and other complex submissions; * Contribute to internal quality control, case-management procedures and team development; and * Use technology and appropriate AI-assisted tools to improve research, analysis and efficiency while maintaining professional oversight and confidentiality. Skills & Competencies: · Strong Professional Judgment You should be able to look beyond templates and checklists, ask the right questions, verify facts, research applicable law and policy, identify risks and consider all lawful and professionally responsible options before making a recommendation. · Detail-Oriented & Solution-Driven We value professionals who are analytical, resourceful, responsible, adaptable and able to identify issues that others may overlook. · Technology Proficiency Strong working knowledge of IRCC portals, digital document management, case-management systems, online research and modern productivity tools is expected. · Leadership Potential You should be comfortable reviewing the work of others, providing professional guidance and progressively taking greater responsibility for case strategy, quality control and team development. · Qualifications: · Active RCIC Licence Must be a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant in good standing with the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC). · Strong Hands-On Experience Substantial practical experience across Canadian immigration matters. Experience with several of the following is preferred: · Express Entry, PNP, LMIA, work permits, study permits, family sponsorship, temporary residence, business/entrepreneur immigration, procedural fairness responses, refusals and complex submissions. · Additional Requirement As part of our pre-employment process, all successful candidates will be required to complete a Criminal Record Check prior to final confirmation of employment.
