SOUTH BEACH LETTINGSHarrow on the Hill

Lettings & Property Assistant – Full-Time

Location: Harrow on the Hill, North-West London (HA1)

Salary: £23,000–£24,000 per annum, depending on experience

Working Pattern: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with flexible daytime working arrangements.

About South Beach Lettings

South Beach Lettings is an independent, family-run letting agency managing over 400 properties across the UK, with a strong presence in the Midlands and London.

We specialise in residential lettings and property management, including single lets, student accommodation, HMOs and family homes.

As our business continues to grow, we're looking to expand our lettings and property management portfolio across London, particularly West London, while continuing to manage and develop our established portfolio across the Midlands.

We're looking for an ambitious, hardworking and digitally confident individual with hands-on experience in residential lettings or property management, who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative and wants to become an important part of our growing, family-run business.

We take pride in being a close-knit team where everyone plays an important role. We're looking for someone who shares our work ethic, enjoys taking responsibility and wants to develop a long-term career with us.

The Role

You'll work directly alongside our Founder and Head of Property Management, primarily supporting the day-to-day running of our lettings and property management operations.

This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys staying busy, solving problems and keeping things moving.

The position is primarily office-based, with opportunities in the future to become involved in property viewings, check-ins and on-site visits across London as our local portfolio grows.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Handling tenant and landlord enquiries through telephone calls, email and WhatsApp.
  • Coordinating property maintenance, arranging contractors and following up outstanding work.
  • Assisting with tenancy applications, agreements, renewals and move-in administration.
  • Updating property management systems and maintaining accurate records.
  • Monitoring outstanding tasks and ensuring enquiries are followed through to completion.
  • Supporting the team with general property and office administration.
  • Helping improve the efficiency of our day-to-day processes.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is ambitious, switched on and enjoys getting things done. You'll already have practical experience in residential lettings or property management, combined with strong computer skills, initiative and the confidence to take ownership of tasks, solve problems and follow things through to completion without constant supervision.

Experience is Essential

Previous hands-on experience in residential lettings, property management or housing operations is essential.

We're particularly interested in applicants who have personally handled tenancy agreements, tenant applications, referencing, guarantors, deposits, renewals, maintenance coordination or property compliance.

We value practical experience and the ability to take responsibility independently. General office administration or customer service experience alone will not meet the requirements for this position.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Thrive in a busy, fast-paced working environment.
  • Be a quick learner who can confidently pick up new systems and processes.
  • Have strong computer skills and be comfortable using modern technology.
  • Show initiative, take ownership and work independently.
  • Communicate confidently and professionally with customers and colleagues.
  • Be organised, dependable and comfortable managing competing priorities.
  • Be receptive to feedback and keen to develop their knowledge.
  • Have a genuine interest in lettings and property management.
  • Be comfortable with a predominantly office-based role, with occasional property visits.
  • Value being part of a small, close-knit team where everyone's contribution matters.
  • Be looking for a stable, long-term opportunity to develop and grow alongside the business.

What We Offer

  • A full-time position with consistent monthly pay.
  • Monday-to-Friday working with flexibility around daytime hours.
  • A welcoming, supportive and family-run working environment.
  • The opportunity to become an integral part of a growing business, rather than just another member of a large organisation.
  • Direct involvement in the daily operations of an established letting agency, working closely with the people running the business.
  • Genuine responsibility, with opportunities to develop professionally and take on more as the company grows.
  • Opportunities to gain hands-on experience supporting our expanding London property portfolio.
  • A modern, technology-focused working environment.
  • An open, collaborative team where ideas and improvements are encouraged.
  • Occasional working from home may be considered once fully established in the role.
  • Planned team visits to our properties across the Midlands and North.

Our Working Environment

Our Harrow office is a dedicated professional workspace within a private residential property, rather than a traditional high-street estate agency.

We're a family-run business that values trust, reliability, teamwork and long-term working relationships. We want the person joining us to feel genuinely involved in the business, comfortable contributing ideas and proud of the work they do.

You'll be working closely with a small, friendly team, so we're particularly interested in someone personable, proactive and comfortable collaborating with others.

Please note: This position is primarily focused on lettings administration and property management, with opportunities for London property viewings and on-site work as the business grows.

How to Apply

If you're motivated, enjoy being busy, take pride in getting things done and want to build a long-term career as part of a growing family-run property business, we'd be pleased to hear from you.

Please submit your CV and a short introduction explaining why you're interested in joining South Beach Lettings.

Pay: £23,000.00-£24,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Casual dress
  • Flexitime
  • Free parking
  • On-site gym
  • On-site parking
