# Learning & Development Manager **Venco Imtiaz Contracting Co** · Dubai · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 2 дня назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Learning & Development Manager with a minimum of 15 years of professional experience, preferably within the UAE construction and contracting industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive training and development programs for technical and non-technical staff, site workers, supervisors, engineers, and management teams. The candidate must have strong knowledge of construction industry training requirements, workforce development, technical competency improvement, leadership development, and employee performance enhancement. Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi are essential to effectively train and engage a diverse workforce. Key Responsibilities - Develop and implement the company's overall Learning & Development (L&D) strategy in line with organizational objectives and construction project requirements. - Identify training needs for technical and non-technical employees, including engineers, project managers, supervisors, foremen, skilled workers, and general laborers. - Design and deliver training programs covering construction methods, technical skills, site procedures, safety awareness, quality standards, productivity, and operational efficiency. - Organize technical training for Civil, MEP, QA/QC, HSE, planning, engineering, and construction management teams. - Develop non-technical training programs covering communication skills, leadership, teamwork, time management, professional behavior, conflict resolution, and supervisory skills. - Conduct induction and orientation programs for new employees, site workers, and management staff. - Coordinate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, HR, HSE, QA/QC, and department heads to identify competency gaps and arrange appropriate training. - Develop annual training plans, training calendars, budgets, and employee development programs. - Conduct toolbox training, practical demonstrations, workshops, classroom sessions, and on-site training for workers and supervisors. - Ensure training materials are practical, easy to understand, and suitable for a multicultural construction workforce. - Deliver training in English and Hindi, as appropriate, to ensure effective communication and understanding among employees and workers. - Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, performance reviews, and on-site observations. - Establish competency assessment systems and maintain employee training records, attendance sheets, certificates, and training reports. - Monitor employee development, productivity improvements, and the impact of training on site performance. - Coordinate with external training providers and certification bodies for specialized technical and professional training. - Support succession planning, career development, leadership development, and talent management initiatives. - Ensure training programs comply with applicable UAE requirements, company policies, project specifications, and relevant industry standards. - Prepare periodic reports for management on training activities, training costs, employee participation, and overall training effectiveness. Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, Training & Development, Engineering, or a related field. - Minimum 15+ years of professional experience in Learning & Development, Training Management, or Workforce Development. - Proven experience working with building construction or contracting companies within the UAE. - Demonstrated experience training both technical and non-technical employees, including site-based workers and management personnel. - Strong understanding of construction operations, site activities, workforce competency requirements, and technical training needs. - Experience in developing training strategies, conducting Training Needs Analysis (TNA), and evaluating training effectiveness. - Knowledge of UAE construction industry practices, occupational health and safety training requirements, and relevant compliance standards. - Experience managing training budgets, training providers, competency assessments, and employee development plans. Required Skills & Competencies - Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi . - Strong presentation, facilitation, coaching, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to communicate effectively with employees and workers from different cultural and educational backgrounds. - Strong leadership, organizational, and team management capabilities. - Ability to conduct practical training sessions at construction sites and deliver classroom-based training. - Excellent planning, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills. - Proficiency in MS Office and training documentation systems. - Ability to manage multiple training programs across different projects and locations within the UAE. Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will be a proactive and hands-on Learning & Development professional with extensive UAE construction industry experience, capable of managing training initiatives across multiple construction projects. The candidate must be equally comfortable training engineers and managers in technical and professional skills and delivering practical, easy-to-understand training to site supervisors, foremen, skilled workers, and general laborers.
