In this pivotal role, you will lead a talented team of engineers, implement standards for AI use in R&D, architect scalable and robust systems, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions. Your expertise in GenAI, modern programming languages, system design, cloud infrastructure, and agile methodologies will be instrumental in shaping our technological future. Duties: Create and maintain standards for use of GenAI in development and QA. Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable software systems using the latest Microsoft stack: MAUI, Blazor, WASM and C#. Drive best practices in software engineering by establishing design patterns, code reviews, version control protocols (GitHub), and CI/CD pipelines for seamless application delivery. Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications for application development projects. Oversee system infrastructure setup and maintenance related to Azure Gov infrastructure components to support scalable applications. Foster an Agile software development environment by facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives. Mentor junior engineers, promote knowledge sharing on system design for system development, scalability strategies, and emerging technologies such as quantum engineering concepts where applicable. Requirements: Proven experience leading software engineering teams in developing complex applications with a focus on scalability and performance. Deep understanding of programming languages including C#, SQL, and .NET core. Strong background in system design for system development involving scalable systems on Azure Gov cloud infrastructure. Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server; experience with database design and optimization is preferred. Hands-on experience with version control tools like GitHub; expertise in CI/CD tools to automate testing and deployment processes. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to technical challenges; ability to communicate complex concepts clearly across teams.
