Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available The role The growth of data centres across Europe is creating significant demand for clean, reliable and scalable power solutions. This is a unique opportunity to establish and lead SSE's Data Centre Solutions platform in Spain, connecting world-class renewable energy projects with some of the world's largest data centre developers and hyperscalers. You'll play a critical role in shaping strategy, identifying and delivering new opportunities, building trusted industry relationships and creating long-term value from one of Spain's largest renewable energy development pipelines. You will - Lead the identification, development and delivery of power solutions for data centre customers, including direct power connections and powered land opportunities. - Develop and execute a growth strategy that expands SSE's position in the Spanish data centre market while creating value from our renewable energy portfolio. - Build strong relationships with data centre developers, hyper-scalers, regulators, landowners, grid operators and industry stakeholders to unlock new opportunities. - Evaluate and support acquisitions, investments and development opportunities, ensuring projects are commercially attractive and effectively managed through the development lifecycle. - Recruit, lead and develop a high-performing team as the business grows, creating a culture of accountability, innovation and collaboration. You have - Significant experience delivering data centre developments in Spain, including successfully progressing projects through planning, permitting and development milestones. - Extensive experience within the renewable energy, infrastructure or power sectors, with a strong understanding of project development and value creation. - Strong knowledge of Spanish planning frameworks, permitting requirements, environmental processes and grid connection arrangements. - Proven ability to build trusted relationships, influence senior stakeholders and negotiate complex commercial opportunities. - Excellent leadership, strategic thinking and commercial decision-making skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving market.
