# Lead Business Analyst — Strategy & Insights **Currency Advisory Group** · Pasadena, CA 91101 · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: сегодня* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role About the Role Turn complex business questions into clear insights—and help move client engagements from research to delivery. Currency Advisory Group is looking for a Lead Business Analyst who combines strong analytical thinking with disciplined execution. You will lead research and analytical workstreams, translate evidence into actionable insights, develop client-facing presentations and reports, and coordinate the day-to-day work that keeps engagements moving forward. Working closely with our founding partners, Managing Director, and Operations team, you will explore questions spanning business strategy, markets, culture, consumers, competition, organizations, and operations. You will bring structure to ambiguity, connect findings across different sources, and help clients understand what the evidence means for their business. We are looking for someone who is both a thinker and a driver : someone who forms hypotheses, challenges assumptions, identifies what is missing, and moves work toward a clear conclusion. This is not simply a research-support, note-taking, or project-status role. What You’ll Do Structure business questions and lead research. Translate broad client needs into clear questions, hypotheses, research plans, and analytical workstreams. Conduct market, cultural, consumer, competitive, organizational, and strategic research using client materials, stakeholder interviews, external sources, and approved tools. Turn evidence into meaningful insights. Analyze qualitative and quantitative information, including interviews, documents, survey results, financial information, market data, and operational performance. Develop comparisons, basic models, forecasts, and visualizations. Identify patterns, contradictions, risks, and opportunities, and develop preliminary conclusions for senior review. Build compelling client deliverables. Produce complete first drafts of presentations, reports, research summaries, strategic frameworks, recommendations, interview guides, and workshop materials. Create clear narratives that explain what was learned, why it matters, and which decisions or actions the client should consider. Own the day-to-day coordination of assigned workstreams. Maintain workplans, deadlines, dependencies, review schedules, action logs, and outstanding decisions. Track client inputs, feedback, revisions, hours, expenses, and resource use. Identify missing information, unplanned work, and delivery risks early, and escalate them appropriately. Work directly with client teams. Prepare agendas and pre-reads, document decisions, coordinate follow-up, and manage routine client communication. Lead analytical working sessions within agreed objectives, present research findings or assigned sections of deliverables, and keep client working teams informed. Coordinate contributors and protect quality. Provide task direction and feedback to assigned junior analysts, researchers, contractors, and external specialists. Review work for factual accuracy, analytical consistency, clarity, completeness, and citation integrity. Maintain organized evidence, source records, and version control. Improve how the work gets done. Maintain engagement knowledge and approved operating systems, including Sirano, Otter, research repositories, and collaboration tools. Work with Operations and the Sirano team to strengthen AI-assisted research, synthesis, knowledge retrieval, and deliverable development. Identify methods, templates, and workflows that can be reused across engagements. What You’ll Bring Your background may be in consulting, strategy, research, insights, brand strategy, innovation, corporate strategy, or another analytical client-services environment. This role is designed for someone with approximately two to six years of relevant experience who has independently led meaningful analytical workstreams. You should bring: Strong problem-solving and research skills. You can structure an ambiguous question, develop hypotheses, evaluate sources, and work with both qualitative and quantitative evidence, including basic financial and operational analysis. Excellent writing, synthesis, and presentation skills. You can turn substantial amounts of information into clear, persuasive presentations and reports that are ready for senior review. Reliable execution and organization. You can manage multiple priorities, coordinate contributors, maintain detailed workplans, and follow through on deadlines, feedback, and open questions. Professional client communication and sound judgment. You are comfortable working with client project teams, presenting analysis, and leading defined working sessions. You know when to act independently and when to seek direction or approval. Strong tool proficiency and attention to detail. You are comfortable with presentation, spreadsheet, research, and collaboration tools, as well as approved AI tools and knowledge systems. You maintain high standards for accuracy, documentation, and quality. Experience in brand, cultural, consumer, innovation, or organizational strategy is particularly relevant. Experience conducting stakeholder interviews, managing deliverable revisions, or using AI-assisted research and knowledge-management tools is also valuable. Your Ownership and Support You will independently lead assigned analytical workstreams within an approved engagement plan, with clear objectives and decision boundaries. Partners, the Managing Director, and the VP of Operations retain responsibility for senior client relationships, commercial scope, pricing, staffing decisions, engagement profitability, and final strategic recommendations and deliverable approvals. You are not expected to have independently owned a major client engagement or carried overall commercial responsibility to succeed in this position. What Success Looks Like Your research is accurate, your conclusions are supported by credible evidence, and your work arrives on schedule. Your first drafts give engagement leadership a strong foundation for review. Client inputs, decisions, and revisions stay organized, and you identify risks before they affect delivery. During your first 90 days, you will learn our engagement methodology and tools, take ownership of assigned workplans and knowledge records, independently complete a substantial analytical workstream, and develop a complete first draft of a major client deliverable. You will also establish reliable meeting preparation and follow-up processes and identify at least one recurring workflow that can be standardized or improved. Professional Growth Successful performance may create a path toward Senior Lead Business Analyst, Engagement Manager, Strategy Director, or a similar role as you demonstrate readiness for more complex workstreams, senior stakeholder interaction, contributor leadership, and broader engagement responsibility.
