Under the direction of Manager QA/QC & AI, the Lead Asset Integrity Engineer (AIE) is responsible for leading the AIMS and Inspection Programs (e.g. pipeline) of the Mubadala Energy (ME) Malaysia business unit and it's operating assets. One of the key responsibilities of Lead AIE is to manage and execute the key deliverables required by the AIMS and ensuring that these deliverables are executed and documented throughout the asset lifecycle. Lead AIE supports the formulation and execution of overall AIMS strategies and reviews, while actively driving the implementation of Asset Integrity Management (AIM) and inspection programs. In this role, the candidate collaborates with cross functional teams to seamlessly coordinate AIM and inspection activities across the business unit. This role will serve as lead and system administrator for the Asset Integrity Management System (AISy) and application. The Lead AIE drives, tracks and reports on the Management of Change (MOC) and deviation control processes ensuring full compliance and successful execution through to completion. Key Accountabilities Strategy Policy, Processes and Practices Lead overall implementation of the AIM philosophies, strategies, processes and procedures in compliance with the AIM Standard and contribute to the formulation of work practices to provide guidelines for safe and efficient operations. Lead development of departmental procedures and controls of AIM so that relevant procedural and/or legislative requirements are fulfilled, whilst delivering a quality, cost-effective service. Develop and roll out AIM Key Performance Indicators and objectives for MYBU. Management Manage Senior Integrity Engineers. Lead the development of training matrix for Inspection and Integrity Engineers and Senior Integrity Engineers. Management of the Asset Integrity Service Contracts. Manage competency of contractor's Integrity Inspectors, Specialist Technicians and Certification Engineers at the construction yard and offshore, ensuring that they are adequately skilled to carry out their duties and that they follow Company procedures to proficient standards and comply with relevant legislative requirements. Develop a process to monitor/audit/review of project contractor integrity work to ensure contractors complies with MPMY's requirements with respect to technical integrity. Risk Based Inspection (RBI) Strategies for the implementation of Mubadala Energy's RBI Process. Oversee the review and approval of AI inspection plans. Final approval of Fit for Purpose (FFP) and Remnant Life calculations for reported anomalies; review and approve remedial action requirements with supporting evidence. Operations Highlight/report issues on AI related activities with Operations of the facilities to ensure risks and the integrity of the facilities are maintained to ALARP status. Oversee lifting equipment, pressure vessels and pressure safety valves inspection and recertification process. To optimise the expenditure without compromising integrity through provision of efficient and effective management of integrity, inspection, maintenance and monitoring services. Management of Change (MoC), Anomalies & Deviations Monitor MoC, Anomalies and Deviation processes. Identify opportunities for improvement of Departmental systems, processes and practices considering 'international best practice' and current legislative requirements. Oversee the assessment of anomalies and provide AI related recommendations when required for engineering resolution and ensure action items and action parties are duly recorded and that follow-up is carried out routinely through to close out. Review and approve recommendations on AI related requests for deviation and MOC from agreed technical standards and/or procedures are reviewed, approved or rejected in a timely and competent manner. Reports Review and approve AI team reports in a timely manner to meet Company and Departmental requirements, policies and standards. Ensure Asset Integrity records are maintained in an auditable and retrievable manner. Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Ensure compliance to all relevant health, safety, environmental and quality and management procedures and controls within area of asset integrity to protect employee safety, ensure OSRMS and other applicable legislative compliance, deliver high quality services, whilst being mindful of the environment. Project To develop the strategies, programs, and systems (Topside Integrity Management Philosophy and Strategies, Structural Integrity Management Philosophy and Strategies and Pipeline Integrity Management Philosophy and strategies) to assure the mechanical integrity of the installation whilst ensuring minimum risk to personnel, the environment and facilities from material or corrosion related threats. Act as company overall Subject Matter Experts focal point for Integrity related matters. To identify and manage pre-operations activities and contracts related to Asset Integrity assurance including the development of AIMS, baseline inspection, ad hoc QA inspections. To manage company Asset Integrity Management Assurance Plan. Identify and review technical scopes of work for contract support of Asset integrity program. Manage Asset Integrity work performed by consultants, contractors and suppliers to ensure timely completion and compliance with the technical specifications and contract or purchase order. Management of AI equipment/material vendors and ensure compliance to technical bid, vendor documentation, and factory acceptance tests and pre-commissioning field tests requirements for the full range of equipment / materials. Manage the implementation and data uploading of AIMS. Lead management of integrity works both onshore and offshore and provide instruction and guidance to Senior Integrity Engineers on technical issues in line with the project requirements. Oversee management of integrity related projects of moderate size and scope. Knowledge, Skills & Experience Post Graduate qualification in Asset Integrity (Pressure System/Structural). Bachelor's degree in engineering. Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards is also important. Minimum of 18 or more years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, and at least 13 years' experience in Asset Integrity Assurance and Engineering in an upstream Oil and Gas operating company and 7 years' experience as SME/Asset Integrity Lead Engineer. Have valid and relevant API inspection certification. Have valid welding engineer certification. Knowledgeable in implementation and management of MOC programs. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex information and make sound decisions. Proficient in the use of AISy software tools and other relevant applications.
