Job Overview

Imperium Group is seeking an experienced and talented Lead Architect to join our architectural consultancy office in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will lead architectural design teams, oversee project development, ensure compliance with relevant UAE regulations, and deliver high-quality architectural solutions from concept design through detailed design and project coordination.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive experience in architectural consultancy, and a solid understanding of local authority requirements in Abu Dhabi and the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and supervise the architectural design team to ensure high-quality project delivery.
• Oversee architectural projects from concept design and schematic design through detailed design and construction documentation.
• Review and approve architectural drawings, specifications, design reports, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, interior design, landscape, and other technical teams.
• Ensure compliance with applicable UAE building regulations, codes, and relevant authority requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and government authorities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project progress, deliverables, deadlines, and design quality.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to architects and junior team members.
• Attend client meetings and design presentations, addressing technical queries and design-related concerns.
• Support business development activities, proposals, and technical presentations when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
• Minimum 10-15 years of relevant architectural experience , preferably within an architectural consultancy.
• Previous experience in a senior architectural or team leadership position.
• Strong knowledge of UAE building regulations and authority approval procedures, particularly in Abu Dhabi.
• Proven experience managing architectural teams and coordinating multidisciplinary projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant architectural design software.
• Excellent communication, coordination, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
• Experience dealing with clients, consultants, contractors, and relevant authorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on residential, commercial, mixed-use, or high-rise developments.
• Knowledge of Abu Dhabi authority approval processes and applicable building codes.
• Professional registration or eligibility for registration with the relevant UAE authorities, where applicable.
• Experience in an established engineering or architectural consultancy in the UAE.
