This is a construction/reconstruction-only position . We are looking for someone with strong Xactimate estimating skills, extensive construction knowledge, and the ability to manage larger insurance restoration projects from estimating through final completion. This is a senior-level role that will also help oversee estimating quality within our Reconstruction Department. What You'll Do You will be responsible for estimating and managing our larger and more complex reconstruction projects, including residential and commercial insurance losses. Your responsibilities will include: Estimate and manage large reconstruction projects from initial scope through completion Prepare detailed reconstruction estimates using Xactimate Manage project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, materials, permits, and inspections Negotiate estimates and supplements with adjusters and insurance carriers Monitor job costs and maintain company gross-profit expectations Conduct regular jobsite inspections and ensure projects remain on schedule Communicate with customers, adjusters, subcontractors, vendors, and internal staff Identify additional scope and prepare supplements/change orders when necessary Ensure projects are properly documented, billed, and financially closed out Manage both residential and commercial reconstruction projects Senior Estimating Responsibilities In addition to managing your own large-loss projects, you will serve as a Senior Estimator and estimating resource for our other Reconstruction Project Managers . Our Project Managers will continue to estimate and manage their standard reconstruction projects, generally in the $65,000–$75,000 and below range . You will: Review estimates prepared by other Reconstruction Project Managers before submission Check estimates for missing scope, quantities, labor, materials, subcontractor costs, general conditions, and other necessary items Help ensure estimates are accurate, complete, and properly documented Assist PMs with difficult Xactimate estimating situations Help identify legitimate supplement opportunities Review carrier estimates against the actual construction scope Provide estimating guidance and help improve consistency throughout the department Help ensure projects are properly estimated and budgeted before construction begins This position is intended to be a senior resource for the department , not simply another Project Manager. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate has: 5+ years of reconstruction, restoration, or insurance repair experience Advanced Xactimate experience Strong residential and commercial construction knowledge Experience estimating and managing large reconstruction projects Experience reviewing construction estimates Strong understanding of insurance claims and supplements Experience managing subcontractors and construction schedules Strong understanding of job costing and gross profit Ability to read scopes, plans, estimates, and construction documents Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time Large commercial loss and fire reconstruction experience is highly preferred. The Right Person for This Position We're looking for someone who can walk a large reconstruction loss, develop the scope, write the estimate, establish the project budget, negotiate with the carrier, manage the construction, control costs, and take the project all the way through completion. You should also be comfortable reviewing another Project Manager's estimate and being able to quickly identify what is missing, what needs to be corrected, and whether the project can be completed profitably at the estimated amount. This position requires someone who understands that a successful construction project isn't measured by revenue alone. Estimating accuracy, gross profit, project cycle time, quality, documentation, and collection are all important. Why Join Us?
