Landscape Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary:

The purpose of this job is to plan, organize and provide supervision for the daily operations and activities in assigned projects and oversee the daily organization, utilization and reporting process for manpower, materials, machinery and equipment on site. You will direct and coordinate activities for foremen and workers engaged in landscape, turf and irrigation maintenance according to contract specifications. You will be responsible for the maintenance of all assigned sites, renovation projects, working with and training staff, developing and managing budgets related to maintenance and construction. You will also manage the utilization and maintenance of equipment, machinery, consumables for site operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Client & Portfolio Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for all operational matters relating to the assigned portfolio.
• Ensure all client concerns and inquiries are acknowledged and responded to within 24 hours.
• Investigate client complaints, recommend corrective actions, and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain effective client relationships and ensure service delivery meets contractual obligations.

1. Landscape Maintenance & Site Operations

• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor landscape conditions, maintenance activities, and service quality.
• Prepare, review, and update landscape maintenance schedules in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with agreed specifications, quality standards, and performance expectations.
• Monitor site performance and implement corrective measures to achieve zero KPI deductions.
• Ensure pest and disease control activities comply with applicable regulations and manufacturers' instructions.

1. Irrigation Systems Management

• Supervise the operation, maintenance, and performance of irrigation systems across assigned portfolios.
• Ensure seasonal programming of irrigation controllers aligns with technical specifications and landscape requirements.
• Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of irrigation lines, sprinklers, spray heads, drip lines, controllers, and solenoid valves.
• Monitor water requirements, soil moisture levels, and irrigation efficiency to ensure effective water management.
• Conduct periodic technical training for irrigation teams on water management and irrigation system operations.
• Ensure backflow testing, valve and timer inspections, and irrigation system performance checks are completed and documented.
• Coordinate planned and emergency water shutdowns during irrigation and storm drainage construction, maintenance, and repair activities.

1. Sports Turf & Technical Operations

• Monitor turf maintenance activities to ensure compliance with applicable technical and contractual specifications.
• Coordinate internal investigations into technical or operational issues affecting turf, landscaping, and irrigation systems.
• Identify operational deficiencies and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive measures.

1. Construction & Enhancement Works

• Lead and coordinate landscape construction, enhancement, and related improvement projects within the assigned portfolio.
• Ensure all works are executed according to approved schedules, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and site activities to ensure timely project completion.

1. Manpower Supervision & Team Development

• Supervise, train, motivate, and monitor operational teams to achieve productivity and service quality targets.
• Allocate responsibilities, establish work schedules, and implement effective working methods.
• Maintain regular one-to-one communication with employees to review performance, address concerns, and provide operational guidance.
• Provide hands-on technical and operational support to site teams whenever required.

1. Machinery, Equipment & Resource Management

• Assess manpower, machinery, equipment, materials, and supply requirements for assigned operations.
• Coordinate periodic material requisitions, routine purchases, and emergency procurement requirements.
• Ensure all machinery and equipment remain in safe and efficient operating condition.
• Monitor machinery performance and ensure optimum equipment utilisation and operator productivity.
• Implement and monitor preventive maintenance schedules to minimise equipment breakdowns and idle time.
• Report equipment defects, repair requirements, and replacement needs promptly.

1. Reporting, Compliance & Administration

• Complete / coordinate and provide content for daily operational reports, inspection records, and project documentation in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, irrigation inspections, machinery utilization, and corrective actions.
• Ensure site activities comply with applicable safety requirements, operational procedures, and contractual specifications.
• Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by the Landscape Manager.
