# Lab Technician **Desert Man Transporting & Contracting** · Abu Dhabi · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: сегодня* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Job Title: Lab Technician Desert Man Transporting and Contracting LLC is looking for an experienced Lab Technician to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out laboratory and field testing of construction materials for our civil construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring that materials meet project specifications and applicable standards. Responsibilities Conduct laboratory and field tests on soil, aggregates, concrete, asphalt and other construction materials . Collect, prepare, label and test material samples from project sites. Perform soil testing including sieve analysis, moisture content, compaction, density and CBR tests. Conduct aggregate and road-base material testing as required. Carry out concrete sampling, slump testing, cube preparation and compressive strength testing. Assist with asphalt and bituminous material testing when required. Record and maintain accurate test results, laboratory records and reports. Ensure testing is carried out according to approved procedures, project specifications and applicable standards. Operate, clean and maintain laboratory testing equipment. Monitor equipment calibration and report any issues to the QA/QC team. Assist QA/QC Engineers with material inspections, sampling and quality-control activities. Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors regarding testing requirements and schedules. Report any non-conforming or abnormal test results to the concerned engineer or supervisor. Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization and safe working conditions. Follow company HSE and quality-control procedures at all times. Requirements Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Materials Testing, or a related field . 2–5 years of experience as a Lab Technician in construction, road works, infrastructure or materials testing. Hands-on experience in testing soil, aggregates, concrete and road-base materials . Experience with asphalt testing is an advantage. Good knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and construction material standards. Familiarity with ASTM, AASHTO, BS/EN or relevant project specifications. Ability to accurately record and report test results. Good knowledge of laboratory equipment and testing procedures. Good communication and coordination skills. Ability to work both in the laboratory and on construction sites. UAE construction experience is preferred. Candidates available to join immediately are preferred. Preferred Experience Experience in road construction, infrastructure, earthworks, transportation projects, aggregate/road-base materials and civil construction will be an advantage.
