Central Kitchen Production Manager – Tease London

About Tease London

Tease London is a growing premium food and beverage brand, offering fresh, high-quality products across our retail locations.

We are looking for an experienced, organised and hands-on Central Kitchen Production Manager to take full responsibility for our central production kitchen at Encore Kitchens, Linford Street, London.

Our kitchen currently supplies three Tease London locations, and we need someone who can ensure production runs smoothly, products are consistently prepared to the highest standards, and every store receives exactly what it needs, on time.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, leading a team, improving processes and making a real difference within a growing business.

The Role

As our Central Kitchen Production Manager, you will oversee the daily running of the kitchen, from production planning and food preparation to stock management, team supervision, food safety and distribution.

You will work closely with the Head of Operations and store managers to ensure production meets business needs while maintaining excellent standards and controlling costs.

This is a hands-on management role. We're looking for someone who is equally comfortable organising production, managing stock, leading a team and getting involved in preparing products when needed.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Kitchen Operations

  • Take full ownership of the day-to-day running of the central kitchen.
  • Plan and manage daily and weekly production schedules for all three retail locations.
  • Ensure all products are prepared consistently according to recipes, portion sizes and brand standards.
  • Organise production to ensure store orders are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain high standards of product quality, freshness and presentation.
  • Improve kitchen processes, productivity and overall operational efficiency.
  • Anticipate production needs and resolve problems proactively.

Stock Control, Ordering & Waste Management

  • Manage ingredient, packaging and finished-product stock levels.
  • Place supplier orders and maintain good supplier relationships.
  • Conduct regular stocktakes and ensure accurate stock records.
  • Monitor stock rotation, expiry dates and product shelf life.
  • Plan production based on store demand to avoid overproduction and shortages.
  • Monitor and reduce food waste without affecting product availability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve food costs and production efficiency.
  • Work closely with store managers to establish and maintain appropriate stock levels.

Team Management

  • Lead, train and support a small kitchen production team.
  • Organise daily responsibilities and production priorities.
  • Prepare rotas and ensure appropriate staffing levels.
  • Monitor team performance, productivity and standards.
  • Create a positive, organised and efficient working environment.
  • Support production directly whenever required.

Food Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with UK food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Maintain HACCP procedures and all required food safety documentation.
  • Oversee temperature checks, cleaning schedules and daily hygiene standards.
  • Ensure correct allergen management, product labelling and traceability.
  • Maintain effective stock rotation and safe food storage procedures.
  • Ensure the kitchen is consistently ready for food safety inspections.

Store Deliveries & Communication

  • Coordinate production and order preparation for our retail locations.
  • Ensure all deliveries are accurate, properly labelled and ready on schedule.
  • Communicate regularly with store managers about stock availability and production requirements.
  • Address shortages, delivery issues and changes in demand promptly.
  • Report production performance, waste, stock issues and improvements to the Head of Operations.

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Kitchen Production Manager, Central Kitchen Manager, Production Supervisor or similar.
  • Experience working in a commercial production kitchen, central kitchen or food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK food safety, HACCP and allergen regulations.
  • Experience managing kitchen teams and organising production schedules.
  • Good understanding of inventory management, ordering, stock rotation and food costs.
  • Excellent organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency.
  • Confidence working independently and taking responsibility for daily operations.
  • A proactive, practical and hands-on approach.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience managing production for multiple retail or hospitality locations.
  • Experience producing fresh, ready-to-eat food, grab-and-go products, breakfast pots, bowls or similar items.
  • Level 3 Food Safety and Hygiene qualification.
  • Experience using inventory management or production planning systems.
  • Experience improving production efficiency and reducing food waste.

The Person We're Looking For

We want someone who takes genuine pride in running a well-organised, efficient kitchen.

Someone who thinks ahead, understands the importance of planning and can take responsibility for ensuring everything runs as it should.

You'll know how to balance quality, productivity and cost control, while supporting your team and maintaining excellent food safety standards.

We're particularly interested in someone who is proactive, reliable and comfortable making decisions independently, rather than waiting to be told what to do.

This role is ideal for an experienced kitchen production professional who wants to take ownership of an operation and play an important part in a growing brand.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary of £33,000–£36,000, depending on experience.

  • The opportunity to take ownership of the central kitchen operation.
  • The chance to introduce improvements and help shape production processes.
  • A supportive team and a hands-on working environment.
  • Opportunities to grow alongside the business.
