Kitchen Helper

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper to join our food production and bakery team. You will support chefs and bakers in preparing high-quality products, keeping the kitchen clean and organized, and ensuring food safety standards are met at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing ingredients for food production and baking, including washing, peeling, cutting, weighing, and measuring
• Support bakers and chefs with mixing, shaping, filling, decorating, and packaging baked goods
• Help with the preparation of bulk food items according to recipes and production schedules
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, utensils, and storage areas
• Follow HACCP, food hygiene, and safety guidelines at all times
• Receive, store, and rotate stock using FIFO (First In, First Out)
• Label and date food products correctly
• Report any shortages, damaged goods, or equipment issues to the supervisor
• Dispose of waste properly and keep the kitchen free of hazards
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Head Chef or Production Supervisor

Requirements

• Previous experience as a kitchen helper, bakery assistant, or in food production is preferred
• Basic knowledge of food handling, hygiene, and safety practices
• Ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 20 kg
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and early mornings when required
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Valid food handling certificate is an advantage
• Basic English; Arabic or other languages are a plus
