Please note that we are relatively remotely located and are not served by public transport. You will need your own transport or a reliable means of getting to work. The Person - Temporary role until 24 December 2026 - We are a friendly, engaging and welcoming team. We would expect you to be the same. - We ask our team to be flexible and adaptable to changing needs within our business. - You will be used to working in a team and will be able to support your work mates in a variety of tasks. - You will also be motivated and a self starter able to work on your own when needed. - You will have experience of food production in a fast paced fresh food establishment. - You will have an understanding of basic food hygiene / food safety. - You will be willing to learn and seek to develop your skills in the kitchen. - It is essential that you are both reliable and enthusiastic with a passion for food. The Job - Hours will vary but you should do no fewer than 24 hours per week. - This role involves working every weekend. - You will work on our wash up section every weekend. This involves washing pots, pans, crockery & cutlery. You will also keep the kitchen clean and tidy through sanitising surfaces, mopping, changing bins and other cleaning tasks as directed. - When helping in the kitchen, you will prepare and produce food for sale in our restaurant as directed by the Head Chef. - You will be able to use your skills to control portion sizes and limit wastage as instructed by the Head Chef. - You will produce a consistently high quality of food. - You will observe all food safety legislation and company policies relating to the preparation and safe storage of food. - You will be required to use a variety of kitchen equipment including but not limited to: Knives, Ovens, Deep Fryers, Blenders, Pots, Pans etc. - You may receive or unload deliveries ensuring their correct packing and storage. - Reviewing kitchen inventory and reporting shortages for ordering purposes to the Head Chef as required. - You will work in an organised way ensuring the kitchen is left clean and tidy as directed by the Head Chef. - You will be used to working to deadlines and show demonstrate a 'Can Do' attitude. Shifts - Weekend shifts will be 11am - 5.30pm Saturdays & 11am - 4.30pm on Sundays - During the week you will start at 8am and finish at 4.30pm - We require flexibility to cover shifts in line with the needs of the business. Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour Benefits: - On-site parking Application question(s): - As we have poor access to public transport, please detail how you will travel to work every day.
