Role Description The Junior Tender & Procurement Engineer (Electrical) is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. This position supports the preparation of tender documents, including reviewing technical specifications, assembling bid packages, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure accurate and compliant submissions. The role involves managing the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process, evaluating suppliers, preparing and tracking purchase orders, and maintaining procurement records for electrical materials and equipment. The engineer will analyze pricing, delivery terms, and technical compliance, while communicating with vendors and project stakeholders to resolve queries and ensure timely supply. Daily responsibilities also include assisting in market research, maintaining procurement databases, and supporting continuous improvement in tender and procurement procedures. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Supplier Evaluation and Request for Quotation (RFQ) management, particularly for electrical materials and equipment. Candidates should possess skills in preparing and processing Purchase Orders, including tracking deliveries and maintaining accurate documentation. Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills for comparing bids, assessing cost-effectiveness, and ensuring technical and contractual compliance. Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for coordinating with suppliers, project teams, and other stakeholders in a multicultural environment. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. Foundational knowledge of electrical systems, components, and construction or O&M projects. Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with procurement or ERP software is beneficial. Ability to work on-site in Cairo, Egypt, with attention to detail, time management, and adherence to company policies and ethical standards. Previous internship or junior experience in tendering, procurement, or engineering within construction or government contracting is an advantage. Pay: E£15,000.00 - E£20,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
